Getting in the Last Word(s): Signing Off, Grate(fully!) Wiki and Friends: A confession, that I have relied on many sources throughout the (almost) past two years, including many of you and, of course Wikipedia, which I turn to this one last time, for this blog, at least, as a source for both a good operational definition for what "getting in the last word" sounds and looks like, as a suitable follow-up to "choice words, word choices" and just shortly after covering many dimensions of "defining moments", which I hope you found even a fraction of personal meaning as it was meaningful for me to write. And finally, also a fitting way for me to sign off this blog, which has covered just one month and one day short of two years (commencing 5-5-20) and included (this being 370) posts, which exceeded what I initially anticipated by a long shot. "Can I have a word with, for you?" Choice words, word choices; make 'em count. Dribs, Drabs...Gift of Gab: Nice to have choices, eh? Well, most of the time, right? As we began to learn language, the spoken word prior to those haphazardly scribbled, dribbled on, "the written word", listened (as in "listen up!") and watched, to see if the "messaging" (current term how ideas are conveyed both explicitly and more implicitly) our parents and the other 'teachers' in our lives were sending us, were matching up, 'mashing up', or even clashing -- as in a conflict in terms, in terms of what they were actually saying and their tone, as well as body language (as my children often cited, "You should have seen your face") , and whether what they told us over and over ("How many times do I have to tell you, show you?!") to be the "simple truths of life" were either in harmony or conflict with reality...From ...
