RE: flection, RE: jection...RE: election...Work/Life, in balance...
All RE: US: Literally, figuratively...IT's what started this whole RE: thing, the re:cognition of how many times re shows up in words, which generally signals "back again" (like when I re:started this blog after a brief hiatUS) and when hy-phenated, can signal more of an emphasis, even being "emphatic!"...and more so, through the past few decades, showing up in both IN and OUT boxes of our electronic mailing system we have all been utilizing, which has in turn affected the more traditional "snail mail" (as IT's now being referred to) and those who have been carrying it (versus IT), those who have historically been indifferent to climate conditions: :"neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night..." but who, due to the competition find themselves part of the "Great Reflection" about work/life, the constant, dynamic changes in the (world) economy, OUR way of life...The RE: you and I use to connote the subject matter, the matter at hand, in our correspondence, in attempt to tie things together, especially when we find ourselves at "loose ends😕"...
Correspondingly: "...in an analogous or equivalent way..." Utilizing analogies, similarities, compare and contrast, mash-ups, all of which I have re:lied on here to demo the various psychological principles, universality of experiences across domains and geography -- including what's happening in and to the "Euro"-zone (e.g., the "Euro" as currency as well as current events) and here, more impactful to US..."IT's all about US"...as in how we tend to think more locally, self-absorbed, as well as the re:cognition of how much this whole RE: thing is omni-present. The many angles from which the flow of info and the "Breaking News!" can be viewed...as well as de-leted, even de-pleted (see July 20th about how reporters are themselves feeling a bit broken these days)...and more literally, as in trying to once again increase your appreciation for the many practical, even psychological and social apps of mathematical principles which, for many of you, seem like a very re:mote idea ("remote access" being a subject matter here 48 hours ago)...like, "how, when...the angles which occupy the same relative position of the two angles parallel...the corresponding angles are equivalent😄..." To those 'in-the-know', those who enjoy this branch of math and ITs applications to life, they 'simply' re:fer to it as "Trig😉"...in conjunction with other branches, or perhaps intersecting (as in angles), one which comes in all shapes, sizes, and spaces, and their respective measurements, proportions, distortions, as in...
"Doing a 180": Who hasn't referred to this psychological experience, phenomenon, sometimes accurately re:called and others mis-applied, more accurately translated as "360" (as in "going full circle" as opposed to opposite directions). In which case, we've moved over, slightly re:shaped our discussion, re:translating through the lens of "Geometry😉😎" Where 180 is not only the sum of three internal angles in a triangle but directionally, also referred to as the straight angle (or "half-circle"😕)...Geometry is also known as one of the oldest branches, slightly less 'mature' than "Arithmetic"...
Old and New, Young and...As in "Re:thinking Work and Life" which was a recent subject matter, on the minds of those who publish for AARP and many others as well as of late, re:garding how both old and young are re:experiencing and re:envisioning work...labor...re:numeration: how for the oldsters, for example, inflation has taken a big bite out of their retirement savings, bringing more back into the labor pool, whereas employers seeking youngsters have had to get creative to lure them into being tax payers in the first place, in part to help the baby boomers and those following to get their social security...lots of different angles on this whole work/life balance thing...ranging from what's being referred to in some circles as the "Great Resignation" and by others looking in from outside, "The Great Reflection". So where do you find yourself in this equation of work/life -- mathematically, psychologically speaking? Have you become a card-carrying member of the Live-to-Work party, or have you instead become a recruit of the Work-to-Live group among US or, perhaps, you have found a different angle altogether...
