Im-Part 3: The Tree of Knowledge - Begat, begot, forgotten...?

The Circle of Life, past and future: As in from the Genesis, tracing things back to their earliest beginnings, as in "just how did this all come about?" The perennial questions all children of all generations ask their parents, other elders, who are ostensibly in such a position of experience - both individual and collective - to lend at least a modicum of wisdom...through both word and deed...the latter being what children, as they grow, increasingly absorb, digest, as the tangible manifestations of...

"Truth be Told": An age-old idiom, which has withstood the 'test of time' which, when issued from the issuer (here the elder of the two in the dialogue), which has probably written them a note given the distance between the current generation and those way distant in the future who are NOW experiencing, weathering the effects of all Our so-called wisdom....an old idiom signaling an important, emphatic, even controversial admission from the speaker/writer...often for rhetorical effect..."Truth be told, We here in the House were only thinking, looking out for You, the future generations, at least that's the way we sold it to the American public, when We first thought up this way of  passing on the debt, proposed it, and then, after a few weeks of so-called wrangling, talking through clenched teeth, finally passed it..."

"This is getting Old" This so-called "way of life" They supposedly taught us, passed on, which we, by the time it arrived here, now, came to us as simply "words to live by" Words, idioms, clever phrases, including those in the financial realm -- such as "save for tomorrow", "respect your elders", "invest in the next generation" ...

But one that's so abound in debt that the final words of the message in the bottle that washed ashore, "seek higher ground, always take the high road" were taken quite literally, if you look around...while They may have enjoyed a higher debt ceiling, We these days find ourselves enjoying the fresh air, the great outdoors, "returning to nature"...If all the tree houses are any indication of "Scarce-city being the Mother of all inventions" as We ourselves go to great heights to escape the tide of rising debt...But, better than having to build an Arc, herd all the species, I guess...trying Our best, as our elders encouraged, to "Look on the brighter side..."
