TP...or not TP?

Now that's a great question!" The one that has captured our attention, the one of the moment-UMMM...

"AC": Which, in our days, came to symbolize, as if they, the Content Creators had drummed it into us..."A crap, I mean crop duster's got to be tough..." Which captured our attention, especially if up too late, or needing more "get-up" as in "Your GM cars...." ACDelco spark plugs, of course, featured on what else, but Adult Content commercials, aimed at a what else do take aim at...a target audience. Many of which remind us of our most basic needs, and others make us want when we didn't even know we did...

TP: If there was ever a reminder of the value of this paper that usually comes on a roll, it came to us first way back...when there was a so-called "transport strike" -- this was way before, of course the word "sports" was modified by "trans" -- a whole other subject, set of controversies, that will be the focus of a whole lot of conversation in the coming "fortnight"...and way before CV-19 was ever a thing It-self, that brought the subject back to our awareness after we had come and gone, reached only to...

Come Up Empty: Depending on which end you find yourself, the content creator, vying for, you'll be focusing on first, getting their attention ("remember a time when...?") and then reminding them of the value it still holds...("after a time you could just take It for granted...")...

This is "IT": Whether You, I, We...individually or as a collective ("No I in team...but coach if I spell in back-wards, delete a vowel, Vanna, I can find Me...) ...whether we are standing in line at the grocery or "inconvenience" store (the latter..."no matter the hour, we are here for you") -- a few years back in the aisle where the shelves are what we now know as "sparse" -- or, if you were sleep deprived...

MELA(tonin), META(mucil)...MAGA (?): Whatever it is you're looking for, especially if you're running out of it, we've got it right here...what is it you need most of, at this stage, age...?

"Mad Men" Short for "Madison" (attention grabber!) and when added to "ad" bring us all those things we now know, some of which we didn't even know we wanted, needed...sometimes in the world of the "Psychology of Advertising" is referred to as "subliminal" which is just below your individually determined threshold (now via "cookies", et al. complicit as they are) and which are otherwise "ferreted out" via, what's known in such professional practitioners (e.g., where adver-tisers and psychologists become allies) entice you to come to what are called "focus groups". Which, after lots of snacks and convo, bring to the surface what some others in the field of "developmental psych." for short, learned, after exposing and withdrawing various "contingencies" (when was the last time you heard TP put, in this context?) in "experimental groups" versus the "controls" revealed what became known in both arenas of study, and then incorporated into products that added value to our lives, performance -- no matter the campaign or venue, age or stage...the degree of...

Susceptibility (especially when least suspected)😟😠😒...

"STP"=Value Ad-ed: Which was, is, of course, the point of all this, how I sustained your attention, kept you in suspense...beyond what we learned early in our developmental cycles, what came naturally and sometimes left us wanting...those needs we found were "primary...the farther out we go, beyond the basics, we now have discovered (and so have "they" -- the CC's of AC ads) the value we come to place on "secondary" and even what, with time and study, became known as "tertiary" -- some of which are "way out there"πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜• but nonetheless come to our attention, when prompted, from time-to-time, as in late night TV...QVC (?)..."wait, there's more, but don't wait, to call us...we're here for you...πŸ˜”πŸ˜Š"

So, what really happens when...going beneath the surface, meaning. If you (don't) know what's good for you, you'll come back, after this "brief" commercial break -- the first oxymoron of Its type...followed by...

Countdown to the Olympics, run-up to the General Election (what else did you think GE stood for?)
