Kindergarteners Rounded Up - Almost the year round
A multi-player perspective post - let's play...
From the purse-spective of the prospective primary teacher- “On paper says 21…can’t we just round up to 25…30 would be a rounder number, for count day…all about head count for funding, you know…got kids of my own, counting on me, at home”
Peering Parental eyes - From behind a barely cracked open door…finds them cracking up…”we did our job by getting them all wound up…hope they wind down a bit by the time they meet their teacher...”
“PSSSST!” - From just an aisle over from where parents are purchasing school supplies…"From one pupil to another...this is not my first rodeo as my parents and teacher elected to give me another go round...I've got all the ingredients in one hand to make the best spit balls around...first rounds on me😜!”
Sweeps week - Probably not the kind you were thinking, as in what used to be called in "Ferris Buhler" days, the truant officer, who swept the streets for all the non-attenders...but here come the ones that, while you sleep, sweep every night...the housekeeping, custodial staff..."look at all these wrappers and crap left behind...it happens every first day of kindergarten, and then twice more, on those count days, given all the enticements to get these brats to come to school...which all winds up on the floor...guess it makes them feel at home...no manners; it's what's going around these daze"
Recipe for disaster - “tutorial on how to make a spit ball, while walking down the hall…” Turns out that all I needed to know I acquired in kindergarten round-up…
