October festing -  best get some rest...for the hunt.

The reason, for the season... at least in what's redundantly, abundantly, resplendent..."Up, North"

Before the real begging at the end of this long month, we up here beg... "So, how do you like them apples?" Just a few months after cheering ourselves for being the cherry capital...at least as far as naming the airport, in what's up here, casually referred to as ..."See you, in TC"...

Making the great lakes, greater... "See you later, freighter..." Well, not literally, as in waving good-bye, to all the huge ships that ship stuff to and from, using our water weighs -- the latter reflected by watching them go up and down in what we simply, the smug among us, "The Soos" -- now featuring kegs and casks, as in not only all those crafty beers that are made just about everywhere, but local whites and, of course, reds, from local vineyards..."dotting the lower and upper...peninsulas" as the newest "Mich.org" will lure you, father and farther...

Sunny southern climes... is where the rest comes in, for what those fortunate "snow birds" who can afford to, fly the coop, or make the drive "down, I-75". In search of shade. While some of the red robins we are known for stick around, and snack on red berries...

The bottom line... if you're looking for a red October, you best head east, as we here in the Great Lake State, have a balanced budget amendment. Which, based on the 24% increase in cannabis taxes, targeted at road works, guarantees to mark us an "orange barrel state".

(I you really want to see what’s “up north” you’ll have to go due northeast from TC, well past the well marketed 45 degree Latitude line-up, and up, across the “Mighty Mack” and all the way to the northern tip of what we simply refer to as the UP…where I-75 gives way, "eh"  to our northern neighbors and Highway 17…measured, in kilometers) So, how do you measure UP?

Happy Haunting 🎃!
