"Mending your weighs?"
"Sew it seams..."
Weighing your options... Way before Taylor showed up to do so, the NFL had the foresight to extend their attempts to revive their audience, from Sundays to now, almost every day of the week, and in a multi-channel format, with limit-less opportunities for you to give back, support a higher cause, such as when the call on the field is questioned, and sent "upstairs" while you are given the opportunity to get out your wallet, and wager whether the higher authorities will overturn...and other costs of being what's called a "true blue follower..." The parallels between the play on the field and how you govern your life off, and on the other days of the week are even to what are termed the "unwashed" (those not doused in Gatorade, as a true leader gets only the leftovers)...
Way before gametime... Before she was even a fig-meant...the parallels started showing up, with those whose professions include..."patchwork" (which could refer to either our offense or defense, depending on the disabled list, whose members are getting various parts stitched back together)..."torn apart" - most often the game plan, but could even be the actual material, given the advent of "tear-away jerseys" which came to replace all the complaints "don't stretch the material!" which also brings to mind..."the home stretch" Add in "he found a seam...they've just about sewn up a victory..." "Clipping" and "Cutting" displayed to us at home on almost every replay. In contrast, tying it together, with all the lacings..."laced one down the field...that ball had a lot of zip on it!" And the fan fav (more like the owners and all those benefiting from the extra commercials) "tie breaker" (why the equipment manager comes equipped with extras). There's even a route for receivers follow (“follow the pattern!”) called the "buttonhook" ๐, calling for the QB to “thread the needle”๐ณ While we find those running with the pigskin (re-pleat with laces) “bobbing and weaving”. And what about those in the same old yarns the announcers like to spin, and then come the ones that the coaches use when telling off the officials..."Darn it all!" ๐ก๐
Taylor made... As in "double play" which is one that extends to another field of play...where the parts fit together perfectly ("how fitting")⚾. And where the writer might be tempted to go when running out, of material...
