Hey Guise, Don't Be-guiled! Just Sayin' - Con-veying, Inveighing, weighing in.                                          Talking about (Clandestine) Communication

All in a Morning's work(out): Continuing on speaking to you, communicating through writing but hopefully also conveying word pictures on this ALL-important topic of communication, I am bringing to you a synopsis of what I overheard this very morning, all within reach of my radio, all within one morning's workout...good thing doing so in part, as I have imparted to you here many times now, mental and emotional stamina (in addition to the obvious, physical), because having to scrutinize, read between the lines while the rest of me was otherwise occupied, required a keen eye, ear...mindset. Yes, within a span of just 75 minutes, I heard the following excerpts exemplary of today's subtopic on communication -- the types of communication that forces us as listeners to go beyond the obvious, scrutinize, analyze for the real intent on behalf of those issuing the message.

For Instants, Listen In, Up: "...if he had used more plain language, supplied more details, we could see if he was really trying to distance himself from this mess...this country has a history, even a policy of deniability, making it hard to discern...we're trying to evaluate the veracity of these audio tapes to identify the true sources, what they actually said, in order to even begin evaluating what they meant...when she said what she said, was she simply conforming and not being authentic?...we're just trying to develop a transparent policy so that the world can judge us accordingly..." Yes, so many people talking like they want us to get close to the truth while others creating a bit of distance, even obfuscate, while others still even engage in circumlocution (talk in circles, make us feel as if we are as well)...from situations that have little to no avail, minimal say about our lives, from commoners who have little impact on us where we are situated, on up, where it becomes known the world over and thus, affect us Royally, many of which become...

Un-10-able - Posing, Poising: "After the PM had not one but two parties at 10 Downing and tried to tell us instead it was a working event for two parties, after he made his so-called apology, he has made it worse for himself and his constituents; it has become an untenable situation..." Meanwhile, just down the street, 3,598 feet, 1.93 K, walking distance, in an around Buckingham Palace the Royals are talking...about how the Queen Mother, is saying "Enough is enough...stripping Prince of his military titles and patronages" (a nakedness only a mother could bare, I suppose), apparently in an attempt to distance the rest of the Royals...all the while, the rest of the nation begs, "what took so long?!", questioning her timing and intent, following on the heels of another young Royal's ambivalence about his self-imposed exile (11-8-21 "Prince Harry may be struggling with his newfound distance"). And, at almost the same instant (at least in radio news time), echos with just a slightly different accent, emanating from about 9,490 miles away, where the Aussies decided to revoke the visa of the "Number One" tennis player in the world, due to his violations of protocol ("bringing a hazardous situation to our shores"), whose spokesperson (you might pay for one if not feeling the 'love'), said..."he wasn't aware, didn't understand when he checked off the boxes...admits he made a mistake but...".  A focus of an "In" and "Out" of detention, back and forth, court to Court, rivaling that of Centre Court, causing our heads to turn...

Corresponding Rise, Correspondents: "So" (a word that has become commonplace as a beginning of a sentence or topic, one which has no place in proper grammar and will likely be replaced, once finally 'called out'), no wonder we see the almost meteoric increase in  news agencies and others reporting on our behalf, in contexts ranging from the commonplace to those situations that have 'royal' significance to us all, way beyond the US, happening in our midst as this goes to print on your behalf -- represented, for example, by "embedded reporters", to "Royal correspondents", to "Truth and Transparency Commissions"..."Intelligence Analysts" (the latter reflecting how gathering 'Intel' is apparently not enough; we also need someone to discern the veracity of such, whether it can be "trusted"). All of these seem to be on the rise, in demand and, perhaps a vocation of interest to those undecideds amongst you...all of whom help us, in more impactful cases plan accordingly or, at least help us understand how others are making plans on our behalf to protect and defend, in such cases...

Saber Rattling...Going Ballistic...Veiled Warning: All of these potentially lethal preconditions, in contrast to "False alerts..." the latter representing a "Type I" diagnostic warning, one where we eventually discover we may have been over-reacting, the condition is actually not "positive". But there are, right this minute, situations here and there, headliners, which have many whose trained ears, discerning eyes and keen mindsets are trying to set our minds at ease, as their attention remains riveted on such situations around our globe (besides those about vaccines), such as the "Russian Military Positioned to Threaten, Invade Ukraine", "North Korea Fires Off More Missiles After Warning U.S. Over Sanctions", "China Warns U.S. Not To Cross Red Line on Taiwan" (the latter, while many of our athletes continue to prep to 'invade' China, at least Bejing, most of who are likely to paying rapt attention)...Closer to home, a situation which understandably made headlines even on BBC and other overseas broadcasts for a few days, involves some court hearings about the degree to which preconditions were manifest such that school and other officials could have, should have, acted, to "prevent a shooting rampage" (as characterized by one attorney suing the school district), a situation that unfolded suddenly in a local high school in late November, resulting in the loss of four students' lives, seven others wounded, and "rekindling fears on the part of countless others". These and so many others remain the preoccupation of trained professionals whose occupations are devoted to the analysis, prediction, and the mitigation of such situations (as well as reporting, of course).

"So", Much More: So much more to talk about as well as how to communicate, ranging from the straightforward, naked truth (think Jack Nicholson, from a "A Few Good Men"), those where "I'm being brutally honest here" to those situations where a bit more finesse, tact, even fashionable pretension ("That new blouse is absolutely smashing!"), perhaps short of trying to dis-guise the truth, be-guiling us, might be indicated. Until then, after a bit of an interlude on a few other important matters (such as "Wagoneer-ing"), I leave you with a few words, with which I trust will prompt you to take 'rap-t' attention, delivered in the cadence of a local fan favorite, a storyteller in his own right, who has gained world acclaim:

🎝Perspicacity, we want veracity, you lack capacity...! Can you hear it, feel the beat...my words, perhaps he'll pick up on it...For now, "It's a wrap!" Later.
