(Re) Orientation: Inside Out...of your Mental Faculties
Highbrow Hybrids: For those of you who tuned in here today, you haven't "lost it!' Nor have I. That is, you have not lost one of your "Mental Faculties" -- actually two, as in perception and memory. Mine represented by will and memory. For I do remember, as you may have, that I invited you back from your Psy-Ops to hear and see what "Roblox/Road Blocks" might be about. Well, I decided, out of free will, based on what I have seen and heard myself the last 24-48 hours to present this combination of some timely topics, some mashups of previous posts, to cover a topic germane to all of us, something we all have to examine from time to time, whether we are looking at colleges for our graduating seniors, or just our mental fitness, as in "Faculties". When applying to college it could mean whose teaching what, their ratings as scholars and skillfulness in sharing what they know, but here its application is even more multidimensional (6), and draws upon several areas of posting here, ranging from the oft referenced movie "Inside Out" to illustrate how our core feelings can work for/against US, to the topic of math and the order of operations (especially those in and outside of the parentheses), and the process of evaluating your current "OrientationX3" (i.e., time, place, and person). These and a few other perhaps more tangential topics came to mind, read, heard someone questioning a particular person's mind, whose faculties have been brought into the world's view, summed up in just three words, which have in turn become one of three major memes emanating from Ukraine...
"He's Lost It!" Wrong. At least from a technical, psychological evaluation standpoint. As there is not just one faculty that would be represented by the word "It", but probably more than one dimension of the six "Mental Faculties" that could be brought into question here. As in one's will, memory, perception, reasoning, intuition, and imagination. Mr. Putin's will has not really been brought into question by anyone notable, nor his memory (as in his longing for the days of old, the Soviet Union), and even his imagination. On the other hand, WE throughout the world with great cause, continue to question his reasoning, as in "What the...?!"
Selfie: As to the rest of US, it's always timely to pause and, in addition to a self-examination of whether we are acutely aware of time, place, and person, include the additional six dimensions just mentioned. Thus, a full examination would be represented as (Orientation X3) + 6. The combination of which results in an exponentially, almost unlimited combination "Mental Status" profiles at any given moment, time in your life. You can perform a self-examination right here and now. So, how you doing; got all your faculties, and when was the last time you remember "losing it?" Or, at least so accused.
