(A Natural) Re:pairing; (Total, Partial) Re:call: Re:volving (doors): Meet, Greet, Leave...
"When one door closes..." As in an opportunity, current position, or long-held status...comes to either an abrupt (as in a door shut in your face) end or graceful, gradual transition...a whole "arrange of experience" (see 7/8 post)...represented around here by "White House communications chief latest to exit...close on the heels of the press secretary who departed a few months ago..." and around there, as in across the pond, the PM's announced resignation, accompanied by his intention to stay, continue re:siding at his current address, until such a time that his party can re:organize, find a suitable candidate to re:place him...how thoughtful (?)
Anything really re:newed here?! As in being called out, being put on notice for something you've done, those others have noticed, or, as the case may be, something you've failed to follow through on, a neglect of duty, promises you made just prior to taking the oath...or when you, in turn gave notice, either at the 'eleventh hour' or a few months ahead, "...enough to allow my party..." (whose support I lost due to hosting some of my own and lying about same)...
Re:calling: As in the re:telling of the truth, the whole story: "Nothing but the facts ma'am", a line from Sergent Joe Friday we became accustomed to when watching the weekly series "Dragnet" (the show was not complete without it). Searching for the truth, before it was too late, prior to it vanishing, and the straight scoop, 'unvarnished' version...Which was the White House press corps were informed, could now once again, with the re:vival of "transparency" in White House press briefings, whether including, or on behalf of, the President (or VP, in earlier days, whose presence seems less so lately). But hard enough to keep track of whose telling it, let alone the true facts, with the re:volving door in the White House press room, which was installed well before "The Donald" took the oath...Doors and windows of opportunity we can all relate to; both open and shut ("your mouth!")...And if I haven't been completely accurate in my own re:telling, at least I've provided a shortened version of what you are accustomed to here...and there...
"What will we hear next, here...?" Please re:turn and see.
