Continuum of Connectivity: Castigation...Contrition...Conciliation

Places We've seen; People We've been: Places in our respective, collective lives, the roles we have all played, at one time or another. Both sides of the aisle, from blaming, being victimized...to being the instigator, the aggressor, the antagonist...A whole range of the blame game and eventually, hopefully, arriving at a place in our lives, relationship(s) of accepting responsibility for ourselves...what have/have not done...what we can/cannot undo...what we can recommit ourselves to in moving, "Stepping" forward. Even after we, after putting forth due diligence, have finally completed the Twelfth Step. Time to start over, with renewed efforts...Re: resolve...Re: constitute...

Cable We are, Culpable R Us: As in being capable of regret, remorse, and even forgiveness ("removal"), taking "resentments!" and bitterness out of the equation of your relationship under consideration (in my office, for instance...or wherever, with whomever), and even de-emphasizing blame, culpability. A quick review of regrets, as I've covered this important, universally experienced psychological condition, here before...as has Mr. Sinatra ("𝆕...I've had a few...") -- regrets over things we've said or done (i.e., acts of commission) or those we realize now, after it's too late, we should have done, on behalf of another (those of omission). Regrets, as I have asserted on your behalf, are not a bad place to start a plan for renewal, growth, as they can be 'rocket fuel', a powerful force for change. But not a place to stay; if not done completely or effectively you could return to this place over and over. Remorse, on the other hand, can come in many forms, in my experience, ranging from self-condemnation/reproach...to acts of repentance, penitence, recompense...between which we also find people (ourselves, on occasion, if we are being honest), being superficial in their contrition ("I said I was sorry, isn't that enough?!"). Finally, without fail, every time I am privileged to participate, even facilitate, a process of true, sustaining forgiveness, I learn something new. And end up, with those I am enjoining, enjoying, being in a place of...
