Re:sign of the Times: ins and outs...arrange of experience.
Timed, called out: (an update from 2-19, "You're OUTTA Here!") It's one thing for you, in due course, after completing your term, otherwise your "tour of duty" in whatever responsibility you signed up for, to simply be 'timed out'..."time to go..." After which you might be inclined, to be in a re-signing mood, perhaps even enticed with some sort of 'signing bonus' Or even in the most unfortunate case, if you are being held against your will, have to 'resign' yourself to. A whole range of experiences, some of which are arranged for you, or by others, on your behalf😕. Finally, almost daily, probably more than once, you found yourself, via tech, having to "sign back in..." which might even involve going back on your word, as in changing your personal password. We have all at some time or another found ourselves being "called out!", whether when trying to get to first base (take this whatever way you want), caught leaning too far off first base, or when others think you are so far off base, you can lose their confidence, your base, which could even result in a formal, public vote of "no confidence!"😞 for what you have or have not done, failed to accomplish, unkept promises. Which could, if you are serving in a more formal, public capacity, getting called out in a most humiliating way, as when they call for your resignation...in which case you may resign yourself to their stipulations, or refuse to resign. Or, in a current unfolding drama imitating the best of fiction, agree to "resign" but refuse to budge from your current address...which could, in rare cases (such as what we, U.S. are "hearing" about around here, at least in D.C.)...result in...
"A Constitutional Conundrum" Commented one British MP regarding the PM's announced decision, concession to "resign" but not actually vacate his office (literally and otherwise) "...until my party has had time enough to..." Which brought the attention of all 650 members of the UK Parliament to matters of a constitutional nature, further questioning the PM's intentions as well as his own rights, but also his internal state of affairs...those that are manifesting his unique constitution...and you have yours.
