"Rave!" Re:views, Star Power

Reviews of Reviews, of..."Talk about being mind-full...I've already had my fill..." Kinda' picking up where I left off (see January 17th) re:garding options for directing your mind, thoughts, especially when you are trying to "self-calm". If you're gonna' fill your mind, in order to have a good menu of options, plenty of fare, for such occasions, you may want to be selective, including this time of year when thinking of tuning into shows that re-view other shows, the so-called "critics choice" ads infinitum, the ones that are "brought to you by" sponsors that have themselves counted on you, as in ratings, to tune in, such as early in the "Super Bowl" -- to see the newest and best commercials, perhaps incentivized by having purchased some "squares" (which include, like all the other awards shows, an ever-increasing number of categories to bet on...like "when the first this or that happens...") A game which will eventuate in some huge winners and losers, on and off the field of play, the most prominent being the annual selection of "MVP"...which already follows a selection of such at the college level (as in "Heisman award winner")...So many categories in so many types of shows, features, media....so much...

Star Power: ✰✰✰✰✰ They're yours to fill in, the type of score card you've now become accustomed to, well before opening your play-bill, list of the categories they'll be presenting on tonight, tomorrow, on until a months from now. The type of ratings that all sponsors, producers...of products try to get you to complete, whether you are among the ever-increasing number of on-line shoppers or after you've gone home with your receipt, re-ferred to the personal code to go online to rate the service you experienced, perhaps incentivized by some additional discounts, which have us going full circle...Many rating systems designed to make you reflect, think, be a discriminating, informed consumer, including of all these shows..."compare and contrast"...

Stark Reality: As in stark contrasts, films that, side-by-side are analyzed, critic-sized every which way...following our viewing of all the stars on the "red carpet" -- some of which are donned with such "sheer" just short of being "stark...naked😒" whereas others are featuring some of the most famous designers, the result of which "...are stiff, rigid, incapable of movement..." (i.e., another version of "stark" provided by both designers and word-smiths like Merriam-Webster)...And even in the occasion of a so-called "off" year, the offerings of movies and such have the critics reeling...Whereas in a year of abundance, along with a FAN-tastic Super Bowl, leave us and the announcers wanting more..."A game no-one should have had to lose, they both played so well..." Which may have even gone into "Over Time" (which the Oscars almost always do, despite all the attempts to offset the diatribes and rants, when the winners get hold of the mic...😒) And talking about...

Raving: "It's what's everyone's talking about...what she was wearing last night, what the host said or did...the missed call of the official which..." Reviews of reviews of...Ratings of raters...Officials on officiating...Then there's the reviews, probably only found on such venues as the Grammys, with music to accompany them, the actual Raves -- dance party, very electric...amped up...dude, you missed it!! "Aw man, no one told me, did not get an invite...!!" It's enough to make you...

😡: So many oppos for application in the context of these events, way beyond not getting an invite...as in the disgruntled folks who go home empty handed...the many critics that joined in with us viewing audience at home after "they" gave the award to..."Have they gone mad...!?" And the one I have come to rely on when I need some hilarity, some semi-sardonic humor that preceded "Saturday Night Live" by a few decades, whose writers and wit, in my humble opinion (remember, since it's my show, it's the only one that counts)..."Trump" those of SNL (who made the former pres. a favorite target, the lines of which we could all predict in advance...not very original...)...the one that features a fellow (Alfred E. Neuman) who epitomizes "chill" as in "What, me worry?" Still providing me with new material for when I am taking myself and LIFE too seriously, or when I myself are getting too "MAD".

Altogether: As in "The Sum of All Fears" a bestseller from Tom Clancy, the content and length of which promises to keep you up all hours of the night but may, in so doing, take your mind off other stuff. Thank you, Mr. Clancy, for all the adventurous, believable, engaging, mind-filling books, both fiction and non. And what one might take away from all these shows collectively, a mash-up, a multi-media event, adding up to...a familiar phrase made up from the foregoing goings on...

Stark, Raving, Madness😱! Or, what could happen if you allow your feelings to take over your mind, and why you came here again, to your own private "Theatre of Your Mind"😌😎And why I hope you'll come back for yet another feature. So much to cover, so much material...
