Re: Turn of the Most Super De (dupe)r Event..that time of year again - Part 1 of 2 (Halves)

"So, What's My (Bottom) Line? You don't know the half of it!" 

Parenthetically Speaking: As I often do here, so as to give you some additional information or, like the ones who will be 'assisting' US all around these parts, as in "qualifying, explaining" -- on all our be-halfs.  As for me to you, as you have now been accustomed, even if you only look in once per year, I sometimes use these 'brackets' (as in "bracket-ology") for extra emphasis, assertions, insertions, to otherwise punctuate what I'm other-wise trying to convey. Here and now, following the re-view of a quintessential moment (at least career-wise), the culmination of my own search, research, accumulation of a super-duper amount of effort, leading to what turned about to be at least a sufficient "defense" (see the last day of the first month of this new year's post for a more detailed 'play-by-play') -- which sort of runs parallel to what the W.H. press secretary has been trying her best, as in trying not to become too defensive! when deftly dodging what she considers "offensive"! questions, comments -- in this super-de-duper search for docs...the truth of the matter, at hand. Kind of, loosely connected to, what took place weekly on a long running show that garnered the kind of attention (i.e., "ratings") worthy of several Emmys and One Golden Moment (Globe, that is), in part due to the celebrity status -- the panelists, questioners being celebrities in their own right, who were trying to figure out, before time ran out, the "line of work" of the 'hidden talent' (whose true identity remained shrouded until the last minute...after a big build-up, suspense-full...sound familiar here and now?)

Wanna Play? According to BBC's mini-series "Why We Play" (is it time we all take PLAY more seriously?) we should all not only long for it, but should play longer, not only be spectators, sitting in the stands, standing on the side lines...waiting to be called in (or "OUT"!). If you've tuned in here often enough, timed your visits well, you've heard my own 'grand-standing' on this subject. But here and now, you can remain seated, as I am invited you in, to my own version of "What's My Line?" A Super-Dupe-R version. A Q & A rivaling that going on in the so-called "transparent" briefings which have those in the "Press Corps" screaming "Foul!" An exclaim-nation we'll hear not only throughout ours, but...in the near future...

Clue-Less, still? OK, I've been coming to you once per year (should be no surprise by now), signaling an event that is Super, inevitable, one which has become a subject of great debate, Commercial-ized even...an event that go one way or the other, and there's winners and ("Big Time") losers...as in shadows of ourselves...

Got a Guess? Well, hold on to it, wait for a few more clues, commentary on this Super event-full, fun for us all, whether we are here, or there, among the halves or halve nots...

Cliff-Hanger: The experience we all have while waiting for the last part of the show, where the true nature of the hidden celebrity is revealed, or having to wait a whole week ("back in the day" for our gens), for the suspense to come to fruition, the "surprise!" ending, which had everyone a-buzz around the water-coolers, which eventuated in another type of break several minutes after (how did anything ever get done?!) Come on back for more play-full-ness...In the meantime... 

Happy Groundhog Day! "I'll be back again next year" (and me, the next few days, with some more clues regarding something other than "Punxsutawney Phil" which would have been close, but no cigar...guess again...)
