The weight is over (head): "SUPER is served"

Missed-Interpreted: "Did Ya hear that...you can get into better shape, shape up by putting more weight on, by racking up...you can actually..." Just a slight deviation from the simple message, simply put "lifting weights of any kind, shape, amount..." can be, should be, one component of a three-pronged approach to reaching that goal you may have established, well before the last, but most SUPER! bowl game of the 2022-3 season took place, which you may have re-iterated while consuming a bowl or two, by half-time...perhaps even before all those other late-night revelers, the ones that finally thought of a self-improvement plan at the (literally!) eleventh hour, 59 minutes and counting...down...to increase one thing which might in turn result in the inverse of the other...the perennial...

Weight List-ed: No bad day, no bestest day, on the calendar to (re)resolve...to return to the ones that you may have started, then stopped, at least paused, gave yourself permission, a "guilt-free zone" πŸ˜‡πŸ˜ˆπŸ˜‰ to indulge, in whatever, telling yourself, "well, everyone else is...it's the SUPER BOWL after all...why would they put these two words together, if they didn't want us, at all these annual gatherings not want us to consume larger amounts than usual, weigh more than we probably burn in a day...??? And, of course, never a bad day to put off, taking off, as in taking a slight respite, pause, from getting on the scale, trying on those new clothes you may have received last month, or the ones you hope to wiggle into this coming...Spring! 

Miss-application: A few months on, from the days, nights where your "eyes were bigger than your..." Which could, if you don't pace yourself, "one day, pound at a time" gradually increase your work-out plan, approach it like you may have attacked that second ("help yourself") helping...or after you just viewed somebody's bodies ("is it just a coincidence these commercials are aired at this particular time of the day, this special day of the year, are they trying to give me a hint...of indigestion?!") that are probably studio enhanced or the product of years of building up, of what's always been referred to as "body building" and now, in addition, to "cardio" (built into almost everything we do, including "well, I at least walked the dog") and "flexibility-agility-balance" exercises, is now just as frequently referred to as "strength training" which can, in addition to burning all those excess 'unwanted' (well, "you asked for it") calories, can add, or at least sustain as we age, muscle and bone mass...if attacked too zealously could end up, ironically, hurting yourself, forcing a "time out!" just as you were getting started...

Missing out? As in "fear of" -- two words that have always been in fashion, a fashion-able way to describe a condition we can all relate to, at least on occasion...which has turned into what they, the Gens of texts, #'s,  have given new meming to an olde term "FOMO" --or, in the more dramatic case, when we may find ourselves in the midst of a "FOBLO-N" reality show, as in what we all experienced, one way of the other, starting early in 2020, just after a time or resolution..."Denied Access...access denied!" Adding insult to injury😑😒. Such was the experience when, after you had promised yourself, and then announced it to the rest of the world, to finally, after you invested, bought into one of those "specials" (which seem to air all the time, so how do they get away with calling them...?) you would put some time into, finally cross the threshold, "go check out" the local gym, yoga studio, fitness center...all these places that seem to keep popping up, beckoning me, all these places where people gather to "body build". Where, among other words of encouragement, from so-called personal trainers, you may hear "put up or shut up!" These, after so many years of just talking..."talk the talk" and perhaps of being tripped up (literally) from keeping some promises you made to yourself, you finally prepped to make the trip...just in time for "CLOSED, until further notice". πŸ˜–πŸ˜ Mixed reaction, likely...But here we are, hear me, once again...

"I'm back!" Well, if you bothered to start following this blog from its inception, as in early in the 2020, right around this time of year, as I mentioned in the limited space and time in several different posts, covering several different dimensions of so-called "self-care", all it takes to create (as in "crate") and sustain a reasonably good workout plan, even in the space of a bedroom, studio apartment...balcony! (remember the post in which I cited the story of someone who was doing so, lots of reps, on theirs, much to the cha-grin, of their neighbors, below)...whatever you have at your disposal ("paper or plastic?" as in a cardboard or plastic stacking chair...) and no matter how little or substantial the weight you, yourself, find your-self carrying, on occasion (e.g., laundry, books)...Yep, it's all there, within reach, or at least as close as the local hardware store (I also shared, from a fitness mag, a so-called secret, that all you need for a complete work-out can be found, purchased at a local hardware store, or on Amazon if they're closed, and if you want to venture "out", at the local playground...). The magic ingredient, of course, the one that only you can provide, is what's always been termed, what "IT" always comes down to -- your very own "Where-with-all" Or, sometimes, in times of challenge, challenging times, times to put a few on...while taking a few off...

"By All Means!" Or, stating it another way, "by any means necessary, by all means..." In any case...

"Welcome back!" The kind of welcome you may receive, even if you have finally entered that place, crossed that threshold, for the very first time, to complete the resolution, promise you made to yourself, in whatever form, to get into better...which after repeated visits, in the final analysis, finds you scratching your head...after drying your hair...

"What was I weighting for...the Super Bowl?!" Better yet, the so-called 'Super Bowl" effect -- the time of year, after putting on the rear, we get back into gear...
