"Et Tu...Brute?!" (in these A.D. days, oft re-phrased "Such a brute, UR!")
BTW: (in part due to liking round numbers-ish, after the celebration of yesterday's accomplishers, who might still, early the morning of the day after, still be digitizing...Pi Day) I'm here with just a quick reminder...
"Check your 6": That even when you, as I had reassured you in my "last" post would always enjoy good company, given certain common denominators, such as being approachable, a good listener, among a few instrumental to the "trade"...even in such a genial setting, it's still a good idea to at least occasionally glance over one's shoulder, to see what might be lurking...
"Got your back": While reassuring words as a whole, in most instances, they can be your undoing, and replaced with "with friends like this..."
"Should have seen this coming": Well, how could you, given that you were preoccupied with more important issues of the day -- such as on the 74th day of the year on the Roman calendar, set aside as a deadline for the "repayment of debts" that, back in 44 BC apparently meant different things to different people...
"Keep your friends close...": as in "You're among friends, Julius", from a reassuring Brutus...
"How was I supposed to know?' Julius said a bit too late, either just before or after he uttered the words in the caption, prior to his last gasp, breath...and prior to the "curtain call" back then in the days of Shakespeare...
Fair warning: as in "all is fair in love and war"...if you, yourself are a bit unsure whether and what you have coming, you may want to see a seer (back then, aka a 'soothsayer', now more of a medium😔), the one who issued "Beware the Ides of March". And there's still enough time if you want to see what the Ides of April, the date set aside in 2023 AD for the "repayment" of back taxes...to see if you have it coming, or going, to go and see your C.P.A...
"Made You Look"! Enjoy this "Ides of March Day" by making sure that, when you are checking your six, you don't lose sight of what's yet to come...
