Speaking of De-foliating (see April 16th post) Holidays...Convergences, Collisions, Collusions, and lots and lots of...Confusion.

A&Q, as in Jeopard-izing...

A: April 20 or, in the lingo of those in the know "4/20" -- the origins (confused, dazed yet?) can be traced back to a group of high school 'buds' (how apropos), adopting the moniker "The Waldos", came into possession (see how it's all coming together?) of a hand-drawn map with some clues of where a marijuana crop might be...persevering through the school day and converging at 4:20 (supposedly, if the reporters, under the influence, are to be believed)...and decided it's as good a time as any to 'light up'...Giving rise to not only a haze of smoke, but several rumors and legends, all of which are now a focus of convo for those around the globe celebrating what's now an annual event...and one which was actually preceded by, but perhaps re-envisioned by these lit up lads...

A: A now annual event, started by 1,000 folks in Bismark, ND who walked together as a united front, who raised not only 25K but also awareness of  hunger around the world, the lack of crops, what is now termed "food insecurity" and whose proponents can be seen walking on various dates, including 5/7 in many vicinities...

Clue-less...or Con-fused? About these convergences and otherwise collisions, of dates, cross-purposes...as in conversion of soil for consumption of...land use, raising of cash, awareness, about the rise in temperatures...the good and evil of both naturally occurring as well as 'man-made'...

A: From the root "foliage" (the increase of which is the focus of all those trying to yield H20 and decrease C02 in the air)..."defoliation" is the process whereby pot growers, after securing the increasingly available licenses to "grow" remove leaves from the Cannabis sativa plants, to increase crop yields, and in turn enhance the production of tetrahydrocannabinol...the latter of which, of course, is the focus of the mass consumers these days (which in turn, of course, results in mass consumption of food stuffs, via 'the munchies') -- whereas the former (defoliants) are the focus and root of all evil for many in the groups we will see this very day, out and about, trying to remove bad stuff, put in more green...

A: "A state of being, which can easily be experienced by those trying to work cross purposes" whose mental status was the focus of a movie that finally came out in 1993, about the exploits and shenanigans of a group of high schoolers converged on the last day of school...in 1976...

Q: "So, which RU, Dazed and/or Confused?" In either case, regardless of which of the above you have or are at this moment, 'celebrating', I'll be here in a few daze to clear the air, at least your minds, of polluting sources, 'man-made' contaminants.
