Open House: Parting Gifts 2 - Entrust US-ish.

-ish: a suffix whose popularity has been on the rise, perhaps due in part to the concurrent preference for equivocation and acceptance of less-than-exact, imperfect, "a suffix meaning to some extent, approximately, frequently used to moderate something previously stated, or as a vague reply to the question..." As in almost all, things politico...

Signs of the Times: And the sign, message that seemed to be hurriedly, a bit haphazardly scribbled (at least it seemed to the reader, the no$$$$ Generian, who had never been exposed, let alone taught, what used to be called "cursive" and now, due to the nature of the message, was experienced more as 'curse'-ive). As if "They", all the earlier gens, who claimed and proclaimed to be thinking all about US, in the form of what they used to call "wills and trusts" now leaves US just guessing, as in begging the questions..."What the $%$*$#$@?!?! were they thinking, what happened here, where did it all go, and where is someone who will actually step up and answer for Them...?" Good questions, all. As responses to the brief message of intent..."Come right in, make yourself a home, the keys are on the counter, and while there is nothing in the fridge as we could not anticipate how long it would take for you to arrive, there is plenty of non-perishables in the pantry...all you have to do is add water or a side dish, or something to jazz it up (a garnish-ment)...make it look good, before you indulge..." Well, at least a bit of a clue, insight into their so-called mind-set -- as to how these well-informed, "consenting" adults who were ostensibly looking after, with whom We were entrusted, could end up leaving this House such a mess, a restricted diet of SPAM, Ramen, and few other items left behind, along with mountains of debt, pretty much ruining any appetite...

Terms of Endear-meant-ish: Terms that were "spelled out" in plain language, in BLOCK LETTERING -- you know, the ones from the so-called "good Ol' days" -- the ones We could even understand..."sans-serif style of writing Latin script in which the letters are individual glyphs, without any joining" Nice. At least in presentation. But what about the message behind them...the terms and what They may have been trying to convey to Us, well into the future, by their actions, inactions, conflicts of interest, leaving Us, thinking, pondering, about what might be deemed, what They used to call in law school, "conflicting terms" which could, it they were too inconsistent, ambiguous, question the original agreement, even make it null, void...Collectively experienced by Us well into the future...

Brand-ish: While They wrote it in their dictionary as "to shake or wave something such as a weapon)" We re-experience it and imagine what They must have really meant..."pass, weapon-ize this bill, to raise the limit of what Our Great, Great grandchildren can inherit as debt..." Feeling Great-full yet?

Van-ish: Which once meant..."to disappear, either gradually or even suddenly cease to exist" or what They once taught in their so-called core curriculum, what They expected all to know at a minimum, to be so-called "proficient" say, in math: "to become zero..." Getting the idea, are You all worked up yet, about what They tried to pass off to Us, distract Us with all the garnish-ments, terms of adorn-meant...which were really just a form of mutual back slapping for passing all this on to Us...to which We are now in-debted to Them...to so many so-called "Friends and Family" now throughout the whole world, count-less...

Garn-ish: Experienced more taste-fully to Them as a nice addition to foods, as a noun, but here and now a verb tense, as in "having an (increasing) amount of our wages (involuntarily) deducted and redirected to your creditors, those you owe money to, as the debtor, that You are..." Had enough-ish? Getting a bit hot under the collar, make you want to holler...Well...

Ban-ish: The thought, that is...get rid of negative thinking, anything that would make you feel this way..."try as you might to banish all thoughts of revenge..." Too late anyways, as They all seemed to have vanished...

Back to the Future-ish: As in what appeared in my news-feed this morning as well as Yours, most likely, as yet another sign of the times...that you or I could obtain the original home of the Brady's, aka the House of the Brady Bunch, for what They and We still refer to as a "Cool Million" (especially comes up in context of avarice and ambition") which evolved to include..."a million here, a million there, pretty soon we're talking real money..." Which what you would have to have, these days, to purchase such a nice abode as the so-called asking price is a "cool" 5.5 million, given all the garn-ishments that have accumulated over the years...

"We're not the Brady Bunch" By way of introduction, a way that a family may introduce themselves to me, in my practice, as a bit of equivocation, a reflection of their state of ambiguity..."At least not exactly..." As in...
