We, the People: It's now on US...

Time to go: As in "back to work"...to the office...which, for me, means to return you here to the "back to the office" mini-series. Whereas for U.S. as a nation, it means something quite larger in scope, as in getting back to the business of building a better nation, all the activities herein. This, after taking a breather, which will make this particular day, for many feel more like a Monday (or a Tuesday around here, as the "rubbish pick-up" which is covered as part of my summer property taxes I put in the mail yesterday, was delayed a day...). So a shortened work week for most, which is like a "breath of fresh air"...

"You got a minute...?" πŸ˜”πŸ˜•πŸ˜ŸπŸ˜Œ The sequence of emoji's representing what We, the aspiring ones experienced whenever our mentor took Us aside, for what was to be a correction action, other-wise experienced as a "teachable moment"...one we initially trembled about but came to well-come as he did so in order to build Us up, remind us "You're better than that...a work in progress" Always well timed, (apparently) well rehearsed, and equally well implemented...which adds up to as "effective intervention". In which case, if he were to try this, approach me this very morning, my blithe reply...

"Yeh, in a minute...or two: You see...I don't really...see that well this particular morning, being a bit bleary-eyed, I am...other-wise a bit weary...gasping even -- first for a (literal) breath of fresh air, followed by one showing utter disbelief...

AKA Ass-tonish-meant! That after so many advanced warning systems have been put in place, what corrective (Ozone) action days should look like, and right on the heels of our neighbors to the north sending U.S. smoke signals, that a legion (perhaps not quite a 2/3 majority) would choose freely to send up so much stuff into the air, to add to the smoke and din...it's like they're un-informed, or perhaps trying to replicate that line from our National Anthem...the latter showing charity on my part, I'd say...Speaking of...

Not Speaking up: If I were to approach you this particular day to thoroughly question what you did with the 4th, at least now for the next 24, you could simply say "taking the 5th" The right to avoid selfie-recrimination, a right afforded U.S. as part of the 5th amendment, ratified as part of the "Bill of Rights" in 1791.

Feeling Lucky Yet? Like kissing the tarmac, like so many who, after criticizing this country, travel the world where, "upon comparison...while far from perfect..." Back to the work of US, being a work in progress, individually and as a collective, united people...

All well and good: being kind to my neighbors, showing charity, even after "they kept me up to all hours, of this morning..." Yeah, as long as it's NIMBY!
