"What's the Matter?" At hand.

"You're in the dark...go to the light" Familiar terror-tory for each, and every one of US. In both literal and "Meta" phorical  terms, these days. That is, whether we are searching for the "bleeping!" beep, a rude awakening from the most pleasant of sleep, or seeking, consciously, with a bit of assistance, perhaps, some self-enlightenment...And, whether, we our-selves ask for a "wake up call" -- what used to be issued from a living, breathing hotel desk clerk, but now in any voice, language, tone, volume...any which way you prefer...never-the-less unwelcome ("You called for a wake-up call late last evening, Mr. Smith, do you not re-call...I'm just extending a hotel courtesy...") Remember, even Alexa has feelings -- well, at least the en-visioners, engineers of the AI of tomorrow, are finding ways to build this human quality in...scary (for me, as in "job security"). The fore-going response that either a "doting mother", psychologist, or any one assisting another, even after being treated a bit rudely...after asking "What's the matter, why so crabby...you know you have to get up this time every day...it's inevitable you'd have to return to school, work some day..." Both before and after, you are so-called awakened...before you are really ready for school, to get on the road, with the other un-familiar co-muters, and even before you embark on a journey of self-improve-meant, you will likely be asked, yet another...

"RU Up, for This?" As in, "So, you think you are really up for this, well..." Even under the most pleasant of conditions, the so-called ideal setting, such as an office space, befitting such an occasion...one which has taken every detail, your preferences, into consideration...calming background music (perhaps even children screaming so as to be a more familiar, effective noise filter), an air purifier, to counter-act the vaping from the cubicle next, complete with a faux waterfall...And in my office the requisite "comfy couch" is what so many called it but a bit un-orthodox, as it was an abbreviated form, one which I qualify as being for "smaller problems"...this, the lighter side...

"No matter the case" Or condition, cause, effect, of what you are readying your-self for, as in prepping for work -- from home or "previous place of employment"...as the application requests...An under-appreciated step, leading to lots of subsequent mis-steps, miss-takes, and poor decision making. What's in the traditionally referred to in the strictest of terms, in terms of the scientific method...and in broader, philosophical terms...both "a priori and a-posterior-i" (knowledge derived from both experience as well as that which is independent of any...previous experience, that isπŸ˜”πŸ˜•) -- a bit different in emphasis and meaning, application, from "sine qua non" which (essentially means essential, as in a condition, what is requisite) -- all things Latin, all of which collectively add up to quite a bit of knowledge and conditions for being "all knowing" ...but did not quite reach the level of knowing that Bill Murray achieved when granted "Total Consciousness" in "Caddyshack" by the Dalai Lama : "...when you are on your deathbed..."πŸ˜•πŸ˜Ÿ OR, in the presence of the "best of intentions" to engage in a sustained process of self- recovery or discovery, even when you are seeking to "make amends" (now, at least in public schools, trending as "restorative justice"), to "right a wrong", it's always en-lightening, whether on behalf of your-self or the so-called "future gens" to take a long pause, as in what it takes to thoroughly reflect, process, en-list (as in making one) all those resentments you've been holding on to (sometimes means working through our denial) as well as those times when we, our-selves have either, even if not ill-intended, wronged others, through an action or even failure to step up, when it was timely. What essentially adds up to successfully engaging, "working through" Step 4 in the traditional 12 Step programs, aptly referred to as "taking  a searching, fearless moral inventory..." What we have, by this stage of life, managed to pack in, before we arrive at a place and time, we begin to 'unpack' (even in business pod-casts, in prepping an audience for the long haul, trendy these days..."a lot to unpack here, so...") Yep, I'm talking about...

"The Whole Kit and Caboodle" When was the last time you saw this idiom in print or heard it on a podcast, an archaic term (likely to return as a trend after an enterprising individual sees it here, perhaps extending the courtesy of crediting me)  - which essentially refers to as "everything, all the parts, the...whole enchilada!", if you'd rather put it in more contemporary terms. But, regardless of whether you are referring to the "kit" (i.e., a set of objects you may need, a "tool-kit" in today's lingo-istics) or the latter term, "caboodle" which can refer to either things or people, my app-plication today, is to bring your un-divided attention to a collection of pre-conditions, realistic expectations, and readiness it will take to really be "up for this"...in order to embark or just simply return to where this whole thing left off...Put in the simplest of terms...

"Dude, it's your Attitude!" as in "Adjust-meant"

Ok, now it's finally time to return to "return to work" mini-series; next "Up" is "Coming to Our Senses"
