Losing our senses, sensi-bilities - it's what's showing (as in "your manners...") Manners Matter, 2.0

(my senti-meants, more or less)

Losing touch: As in what happens when you lose, perhaps even via disuse, on of the main senses. As in, have we really lost the ability to feel what others do, as in empathy, let alone what one considers sympathy these daze...? Maybe just out of practice, that if we look for opportunities each and every day, this "how touching" type of manner-ism might, after first feeling a bit awkward, could even become part of our daily "lexicon" of when, how, why extend such feelings to each other...daily habits, the practice of saying things...

Tact-fully: Or, saying it another way, saying things that may need to be said, only after a period of self-reflection, and discernment of how it may impact them...while we, these daze, seem to have replaced such subtleties and nuanced messages, "thanks!" in no small way to anti-social media...with language much more coarse in nature, those that, instead of showing the slightest tact, are in full-attack mode. If you don't believe me, get ready for an "ear-full!" as the messages put out in all the different media, castigating those holding even the slightest of different opinions, well before any so-called "presidential debates" which have featured de-corum looking and sounding anything but -- "presidentially" speaking...

Doing US dis-honor: Like, as in "showing shame, dis-grace...failing to observe, respect..." An honor code; a code of honor. Perhaps, well ahead of the actual televised debates, where we are en-treated to a whole menu of insults, most of which are not even multi-syllable, nor their weak attempts, at clever come-backs ("shut up, man!") I offer you a quicker and less pain-full way for at least U.S. in the audience, to "settle this, once and for all!" -- a good old-fashioned duel which occurred when another's honor was "brought into question"...which came with a whole set of instructions, rules of engagement, and usually left just "one man standing" Isn't this what this is all about? Instead, it's like we're bombarded with a barrage of innuendos (which themselves used to leave something for the imagination) and insults...like a long, arduous "rap battle". Which, come to think of it, would at least challenge them, the ones insulting our intelligence, and provide LOTS more entertain-meant value. Instead, all their accusations and inaccuracies, some of which, at least lately, may have been "brought on by age" (the jokes about of which have frequently been in poor taste -- what about "respect for the elderly"?) gave rise to a whole industry of "fact checkers" that check every fact, fiction, about the other's checkered history, "shady past"...otherwise, these daze known, justified under the guise of "vetting" Followed, in due course, by a cadre of reporters, who tell us what we just heard ("Do they think I'm dumb; no wonder I've become a bit tone deaf!")  None doing us much service, as in done very...

Taste-fully: In another sense, a whole lot to digest. So, take your time, cleanse your palate, while I prep another course...
