Hunger, Games and the Mouths of Our Babes

A Toast, from your (post) host: The one, you and I have heard over and over and...one that encompasses just about very dimension of what living "a long, full, and interesting life" looks and feels like. No matter what the occasion, time of life, is timely, well received by all present, other-wise the life we are accounting for. In the form of a casual, formal toast, even in the form of a prayer in super formal, more reverent settings. But in all, every instance, context, it consists of...

Well, wishing: Wishing others well, as in "Good will towards..." Even accompanied by acts, especially at certain times of the year that seem to "call" us to do so...whereas at others, not so much...

Guaranteed: "We'll guarantee that if you bring in proof, that an item is offered by someone else at a cheaper price...." A highly common phrase that we hear at all times of the year, but especially yesterday, today...not so much, well after the sale is over, accomplished, where your bill of sale is likely lost in a mass of confusion. This follows a lot of experience by a whole lot of us, after we are told "not much in life is ever guaranteed..." Well...I'm also here to tell, remind our-selves...

Two out of Three ain't bad, right?: As in 66.666...% of the time, what some consider a "vast majority" others...not so much, as in wanting more proof, the kinds that are these daze, brought to US, whether in the form of "polling numbers" or those incessant "what's hot and not"...the latest crazes, which could find us out in the cold, waiting in long lines, to satisfy our youngsters' cravings...or so we think...

"Survey Says" Which not only includes clues as to what "they" want to find under the tree a month (give or take) from now, but also those reflecting our own reflection...what we, of all ages, are telling the surveyors, as well as Our-selfies, what makes us (un)happy, as in turns out. That is, all those surveys that we have been reading, hearing about, regardless of what media outlet you prefer. The ones that we might want to at least briefly reflect on, this very day after a day of mass consumption, and on a day of HUGE consumerism, on where a whole lot of us will fill our coming days, whether we literally go out, spending, or find ourselves in the ever-increasing masses online, help, assist many retailers, especially the locals we may have ignored throughout the first ten months..."go from deep red...to back, into the black...a healthy bottom, line...thanks, once again..." As to the rest of the time, when we (at least 2/3 of us, or enough to call it a "majority" according to the surveys) are not pre-occupied with consuming, when we say, in the survey, our time is consumed by things, other than what really makes US happy...As to what Paul Harvey, the radio host, with the most (as in great voice, stories, source of inspiration) used to refer to as "The rest of the story..."

Come back, after you are more well rested, for more full-filling "FUN AND GAMES"
