Swearing in; out swearing: "I'll not stand for this; we won't take this lying down!"  

Take-aways: What it would be like, to not be allowed, to play "Keep Away" or when THEY other-wise try to take IT away from us -- IT being RECESS! of course...

"Braking News!" As in "Putting on the brakes, on RECESS!" Hard to imagine? Well, I'm here to share a vision of what this might look, sound like...in the not-too-distant future...the What, Where and When...to be followed in kind by Who and Why, such a thing "could be allowed to happen..."

"Eureka, what's lost has been found!" Some items from which ("Lost and Found" box) may have found their way into the time capsule, one which tells us what "life back then" might have looked like. A vessel, the likes of which are frequently found under or in proximity to what used to be, as it turns out, based on the "great reveal" of what the letter inside the envelope that resided inside a box, which was protected with several layers of what YOU, back then, called "Duct tape" that was used for just about anything but...told of lots of things old, including the actual whereabouts that YOU are probably "gathered all around" to read all about US...about a place, time, and what may, in the future to be rendered to being a literal lightning rod, after being such a lighting rod for debate, controversy, contentiousness. A rod type structure that still, to this day, stands "tall and true" but now curiously without anything draped on it, rendering the metal hooks attached to what's still called, to this very day, a "halyard" -- the cable or rope on the flag pole that is meant for raising, in this case lowering (for good) the flag -- the hooks of which are now simply noise makers, the kind of noise that school children used to associate with that which occurred prior to the daily "flag raising" -- the honor for which there was a long sign-up sheet. No longer. As this was a time prior to when all those "nay-sayers" showed up -- the ones that managed, over time, to deconstruct, line by line, what WE all had pledged to...including the one that included the words "pledge", "allegiance", and "flag" all in ONE. Beyond YOUR imagination? Well think again. It only stands, to reason. If you don't believe me, at least look up, listen...

Rumor has it: That "Once upon a time..." this great tubular mono-lift, was a site for great celebrations and even "swearing ins" but eventually, due to a collective of "deconstructionists", became a cause for great polar-iz-nation. So much so that it almost became a house divided (a divided House, if you'd rather) in the form of a show down between the "halfs" and the "half knots" -- those that believed that "Old Glory" -- the stars and stripes which represented the "United States" should either be raised to great heights or brought down to earth. Which, after lots of wrangling, gnashing of teeth, smashing of a gavel into pieces, resulted in the "Great Compromise" -- one which found the flag in a State of perpetual half mast, that went on for years, until the flag became torn and tattered and finally simply fluttered away, shards of which might still be found, here and there..."out yonder" in what the children of school age back then referred to as the "play ground"...and a few remnants (one with a faded stripe and another containing a stripe, slightly torn) found their way into the time capsule "under review". Which also, just underneath the star and the stripe, also has a few shreds of a document that set the stage for all this...one containing the letters "Preamble" and another short list of grievances followed by a grand "Declaration" which, according to ancient history around here, was followed by a draft of another document which not only listed some rights that empowered each and every one of THEM back then, but also contained a vision for the "separation of powers" -- a most curious State of affairs for the newer, "Grand Separation" party that through a vision of what a hyphen-nation should look like (adjectively speaking), an up-dated "divide and conquer" that the original authors could hardly have accounted for. "What were THEY thinking?"  was the thought of those who opened, peered in, then read out loud the claims of those who were ostensibly looking out for our "little ones" of the future...who all-most succeeded in taking all the joy out of OUR school daze...#$*&!!

Back, to the Future: The one in Jeopardy (see 11/4 for the whole A&Q thing), where WE once witnessed, at least overheard, school children out swearing...as in taking the earliest of oaths --"Pinky Swear!" and came to include "what happens on the playground stays on the...remember, no squealing, that snitches get...there's already too many adult whistle blowers out there..." And the ones that simply came in the form of "out swearing" each other, in a time and place where our folks told us that, during this brief time each day, after being pent up, holding it all in, we didn't  have to "watch your pees and poos" as closely...But these daze, not so much freedom to express ourselves freely, what WE "heretofore", in a place, building adjacent to the play-ground...came to learn was accounted for, in earlier times, documented, "codified" even. And the ones that the "Recess! Envy" group -- adults sounding like The Grinch, that finally said it out loud..."It's not that we want to play on the playground so much as we don't think they deserve it..." Can you think of a better definition of envy-US?!  

How can THEY even call this RECESS!?! If you ask US, it resembles and smells more like what the dogs (uninvited guests) left be-hind -- I swear! 

Now: That I have shown you, engaged your imagination as to 3/5 W's, on to the "WHO" and "Why-oh-Why" the loss of RECESS! as in climatic change...
