Youts Too!

"What constitutes a Youts, these days"? The question remains, a judgement call, as depicted in "My Cousin Vinny" which might offer you a welcome break from all the season fare, which you may have, in turn, turned to, to take a break from all those ads, most of which are geared, of course, depending on which station and what time of day/night...informing You, the "big spender" on behalf of Them, the beneficiaries, of all your spending...

"Hey, big spender...🎝" Not too late...especially in this land of "same day" which is, on course, due to the trajectory, based on my own estimates, to be on the verge of..."wait just a minute kids...as I've got my 3D printer warming up, in the next room..." Such as the new daze in our lives, in order to satisfy what WE think THEIR cravings are...at least according to "our sponsors" -- and otherwise to keep THEM in (dis)belief about "Old St. Nick" -- the ageless dude, many try to emulate...and above all, just to keep the peace...until the next iterations of these toys, video game, systems are brought out to US...

Breaking (Bad/Good) News: As I'm here to tell you that, despite what the "Survey Says" about what's IN and what's NOT -- the latter which may leave THEM among the growing numbers of FOMOS...The attempts to satisfy what sems to be an unsatiable appetite, despite all THEY have consumed, and an unquenchable thirst, no matter how much you go out, spend, out-spend all those so-called "Joneses" out there, so your kid can be the very first on your block (assuming you live on one)...before you drive your-self (if you're even driving to what used to be called a "shopping center" before they got stripped down...ergo...strip malls) -- totally and completely IN-sane...no, wait, it's actually a loss, of sanity...WAIT a minute, hold on...to what you've got...

In with the Old, Para-Docs-ical States: I'm here, once again to tell Yeah'll, that, according to your children of various ages, that I have had the pleasure of listening to, in the safety of my office...Let me let you in on a secret or two...which, given that I'm not naming names, should not put me on the HIPPA "naughty" list...what your youngsters, tween-sters, teens and what became, a few decades in, "young adult-hood" (aka "basement dwellers")...have told me over and over, as in...

Collectively, Connectivity Speaking: As in the age-old paradox, or a byte of irony, the one that is now (dis)affecting almost all of US these daze, is that while THEY now live in an age of super-connectivity, most of THEM, based on all the recent surveys reflecting the "Mental Health Crisis" have never felt, less-so...connected. As in lacking true intimacy, beyond all the false fronts, facades, Face-book "Friends" and such...

So, YOU want some Good News? It's that, while the same Youts, that initially told YOU and ME that..."my parents brought out some old....bored games..." which offered YOU and ME a degree of resistance, if WE really bothered to listen and what WE in OUR field, call "working through" ends up,  after the game was played out..."Doc, don't tell my friends but it was actually fun...I hope my parents will consider a do-over..."

"It's not over till it's over" How often have you heard this, on behalf of different stages, of LIFE? And one that WE are all reminded, regardless of the actual Bio-age your so-called Certificate of Birth says YOU are...

"Over the hill?!" Hardly, as reflected by what's touted, based on the ratings, to be not only the most tender ad of the year, but for decades to come...as in "Shared Joy" -- an Amazon ad, depicting three oldsters, spurred into action (perhaps in part by what they had stirred into their mugs, while watching YOUTS) --- "Why not US?!" At least that's what was my take-away...

"W-E-E-E!" Too -- as in what we all would have heard if on hand as these newest "The 80-ish is the new..." as these three long-time friends, after securing some extra padding ("special delivery from guess who...?") went "sledging" (as depicted in my Brit review) down the hill, over the river and through...

Wood-n't WE ALL? What RU waiting for...the YOUTS are waiting, just for YOU to ask (well, perhaps, coax, coerce, make them earn their screen time, by some "Bored, dumb games")...while it may not be what THEY are asking for, it's what WE all need...

"Spend a little time with me...𝅘𝅥𝅯!" The last line from "Big Spender" (1966)...strong finish.

A Sharing Gift: Connectivity
