Lost and Dumb-founded? Playground parcels
Clearly contained: "Frequently found (get it yet, the missing part of recess! that's been part of the pre- and after- school discussion since...) at museums, amusement parks (synonymous with "playgrounds") and schools...a lost and found box clearly marked...near the main entrance (which also serves as the exit out to the field of play, in our case)...containing articles, things...that might be retrieved, that others that may have turned in..."
An ode code: "It is written..." As in the lost-and-found property system properly, more formally practiced in the Island nation of Japan ever since 718. So they've had a lot of practice at this. While we, in and around the school yard, wherever it might be found (the so-called "Lost-and-Found Box") are still trying to get this ritual, semi-annual (trying to have it start and end empty, cleaned out) rite right...
Re-envisioned: As in my own version of this balancing act of "for everything, body that's lost, there must be someone searching for...You...a place for everything and every body..."
Early and often: Starting early in life..."don't go wandering off..." on to "dating sites" and wrapping up with "word searches..." all to keep on the look-out, in shape...keep things in balance...
Peekers and Sneakers: Or, put together, a "sneak peak" into what you might find in my own Lost-and-Dumbfounded box collection...
"Little Bo-Peep...what a creep...call the playground Super-Visor over here...!"
"Found: pair-of-dice...Lost: wagers...out on the strip, sorry dad...I'll need you credit card again..."
"Lost Thyme...Found a substitute (get the school connection yet?), temporary replacement...from the same family, at least...Meet Mr. Oh-Reg-Ah-No"
"I'll trade you a morsel of wisdom for a few lost years...wanna' trade?" Drinking fountain convo...
"Lost articles of Confederation" giving rise, once we school-age children finally got hold of them, reached way down...newly-Founded: playground bill-of-rights...you can't make me, can't stop us...we're entitled!"
"Lost: playground privileges" "Found: new in-sites" Time-out!
"Finders-Keepers...Losers...what a loser!" Found on (anti)social media, these daze...
"Be not afraid": That when you're lost or looking for that lost object of desire, or when you realize "I've really, finally lost It!" there's always someone in or near the Lost-and-Found department willing to assist you. Assuming, of course, you're willing to hand over some newly established "finders fees" Talk about emptying the (safety deposit) box...
