Merch! to the beat.

Wall to Wal, mart: In short, in case those that are not well...attired, or you are among getting tired of seeing the same old, worn out...want something more trendy, I am here as your host with the most, up-to-date, definitions as well as what defines good, style statements. So, just in case you have been the missing few, the ones that were not part of the record-setting crowd in what's called down-town, but made up, in our locale by an area that is ranges from a "Campus"...to a "Plaza" and can't forget about something old, as in "Greek"! No matter where one found oneself, there was plenti-full "Merch" (and dice, casinos) as well as pop-up kiosks that made up this "...place where things are bought and sold as a mark-up, or is it market, aka shopping centre..." Merch and Mart, collectively making the scene that depicted our whole home-town, going...

Buy-serk! Whereas some came from what's called far and wide and look like they had the make-up reserved for professionals, these "crazed sports fans!" (that's what the commentators commented which harmonized nicely with my professional opinion, but one that is only a temporary condition, such as when either ESPN's "Game Day" comes to your campus, or the "NFL Draft!" comes to our town. Which, due in part to being spread out over days and spills out onto the streets rather than simply being self-contained (as in a stadium)...only a cynic, "spoil sport!" would see this as a product of marketing gurus...as in mocking what's come to be known as a "mock draft" complete with Vegas odds. Speaking of...

ODD-ities: ODD being short for "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" often diagnosed on behalf of those bucking trends or other-wise misunderstood, a few of which become wealthy buy hedging funds, and then heading in the opposite direction. Which I have to believe are partly behind this whole trend in what's frequently referred to in the free market as the fashion industry -- That. while we have (well before COVID was a factor) seen CEO's, first the ones delivering news to their stock-holders, featuring a more relaxed, attire, which eventually being brought out to the rest of us "working stiffs" in cubicles as "bizcaz" -- there has been an almost direct opposite, opposing trend, which I guess off-sets the reduced capital being spent by those we were used to seeing in either dark grey or all blue...

Reign Gear: No, not the gear that is still marketed for those that prefer to be out, even when the conditions are referred to as "in"-clement. I'm referring here to the HUGE expenditures that by donning their gear, a particular jersey and even more so a specific number...offer even those that have never stepped on the field of play what we psychologists call..."living vicariously". As in "looking good, feeling good..." As in you look really...

"Sharpy" The few crazed fans, usually with plenty to show for it (as in jelly bellies) that either cuz they lacked the sufficient funds or spent their merch money on the increasing fare, as well as fares associated with making their way into what in sports world called the "Big Dance" which is frequently aligned with being on the "World's Stage" -- there's always a few that rip off their shirts and feature a meme written by a Sharpie. Better than our hometown being completely em-bare-assed by the ones that used to streak across the screen, barely a hint of what they were standing for, which team they were up-rooting...

Back, in style: That is, short for I'll be back as I had hinted last post, before getting distracted, getting "hustled" BTW, did you see the hundred or so, in matching attire doing the actual "Hustle!" before the world stage, T-shirts with "Detroit Hustles Harder" which may come to replace the meme we've been sporting "Detroit Vs. Everybody!" The marketing agents must have gotten together well, ahead of time, and decided to soften the message, to replace the one that may have been deemed a bit "Offensive" How did they know that the Lions would prioritize a few players that are considered the ones that will be on the "Defensive" side of the field? What do they know that we don't; it's as if they are a step (or two) ahead of the crowd...
