Taking it, in stride..."just take it from me, would ya?!" (aka "easier said than done...")

Quite a reach: That is, stretching the Olympic coverage well beyond...and literally, as in from Paris to LA LA land...and its environs which, in the context of the most recent games, the "surf's up!" stretched all the way to Tahiti and its own environs, namely Teahupo'o (purchasing vowels will cost you dearly)...whereas in the vicinity of LA, just a stone's throw (assume you are good at skipping) from what's called in "The Games" as the "Main Venue" -- while Pacific in nature, has already caused a bit of a tussle between (Lower) Trestles and Huntington Banks, I mean Beach-heads...

Breaking "it" down: Into it's component parts, of course. Each of which is essential, but not sufficient, to make it, complete. As in going from start to finish, in the most efficient way possible. Even if it does not eventuate, in setting a new land speed record -- the latter allowing for various comparisons itself, as in what's been done before in previous "Olympic" venues, in their homeland, or even throughout history, of the "World"! And even breaking it down, the team effort, that is told time and time again, regardless of whether you are the one that kick started it, or the so-called anchor, there's only "we" in "team" -- here envisioned and practiced until almost perfection, what's traditionally termed a "relay" event. Still looking for the "w" myself, which usually, in other team sports, signals a win. While more event-full when there's either a fumbled hand-off (similar to...?) or even a dropped baton...

"Oh, relay?!" You answer, just about as sincerely (read and heard as a bit disingenuously...). Or "don't worry, we can catch up...it's not too late...happens to the best of them..."

"Sure thing" Can be applied either way here, and there...as in in any one of the four quadrants, sectors, which incorporate three hand-offs....As in it's (almost) assured, given whose handing to whom (or who, depending...) OR a response indicating "sure...whatever...consider it done...maybe..."

"A show of hands, please" Yours for the taking...as in outstretched...open handed...

"Give it up..." A delicate matter, which can make for a tendered moment...this baton passing routine...

"I said to drop it...!" (aka "shut up, man!") How ironic, delivered from one that dropped out...

"I'll pass, but thanks anyway..." Now, wouldn't that be a welcome debate departure...

"You're killing me!" From the whole "don't blame me, I'm just relaying the message" message...

BTW: If you want to tune and see some individuals and teams that had to overcome, or find a way around, even more life obstacles -- for lessons in perseverance, resilience -- while the numbers of athletes, events are smaller in number, the challenges loom larger...in the 2024 Paris Paralympics, commencing 8-28-24. Watch, listen, learn.
