Frivolity of Yutes: These cats can play!

New Orleans...may be known for its rich heritage of jazz, but we here also boast some of the best clubs...as well as "cool cats...man!" Takes me right back, to a saying and a time here in Motown, we were also, in unison, saying ('68, '84)) "Bless You Boys!" As in...

Boys will be...boys before they go on to be younger men and eventually, reach full adulthood...stature. The former and the "young adulthood" stage which has been around in my professional life as a developmental stage, since about the time I entered that stage, myself. A stage that both the Lions and Tigers, with some of the newest arrivals, are reminding us of, re-igniting our imaginations...of our own yute...(I was reminded in the closing moments of the clean, two game sweep, as in "Astron-nomic!" that no one on the current roster breaks the 30 something threshold)...

"Where were they...?" You ask, as in where did they come from...? These so-called cellar dwellers, that came from an insurmountable ten games back...didn't anyone tell them it couldn't be done? Well, if they did, just like the yutes of yesteryear, it's not like they would listen anyway...

"What did it take...?" To finally lure them out of the basement, ask all the other parents these days. Well, it certainly wasn't the MLB undersized celery, I mean salaries, given that the total team budget amounts to that of some individual players elsewhere with oversized egos...

Lumber slumber: One might argue that their bats that had been quieted, for quite a stretch...were just 'curing' as in "mom, I was just waiting for the right time and place...you always told me to get lots of rest, that I'd need it when I finally went out to find summer employment..." At the tender age of 20 something...

Pitching Chaos! What the Tiger troupe on the mound has become known for but what the yutes of earlier times have always been throwing at us...

Throw back: To our own youth, hopefully springing eternal...and what we've gotten used to seeing from the crafty coaches on the Lions staff...

"Here kitty kitty....Youch!" You'd think they'd know better by now...not to mess with us.

P-r-r-r-ty cool kids: these Lions and Tigers, and...Oh My!
