Any interest, on the subject of the debt ?

Still trying to ‘drum some up’…

"Does anyone know, anyone interested at all in what we, each family pays...anyone...anyone...Bueller...?"

Gain-a-function…exponentially, as in "it's a pandemic that came out of..." Otherwise..."take another course in Calculus, you'll learn a whole new set..."

Expanded notation...another way to weigh in on just how big we're now talking...

Same old (story problem), but with larger numbers, as in "absolute value..." As in..."Take the national debt...NO, just the interest, on the debt...." OK, let me put it to you this weigh...

Take our national debt, for instance ("yours for the taking") - let's just say $35 trillion, for a nice round number, which is, at least at post time, equal to 124 % (remember how to convert?) of our gross national product (Y = C+I+G+Y+Z, if you want to figure for yourself) -- the interest payments themselves being larger than what we pay for national security (feeling secure?)...

"Do the math..." As in...Gee…Oh…metrically speaking, taking shape…"It looks like a pyramid...scheme...NO, more like a house, of cards..." Now…

Rotate it, on its axis....360 degrees…it’s as if it as in the current party who resides at …1600 Pennsylvania Avenue…too busy partying, have forgotten or at least left behind their stated priorities, to "bringing US down...the debt, that is"…calls on US to...

"Use your imagination" in imagining a world, at least US, being out of debt, an exercise in mental math, that we were not exposed to until well into our school's math curriculum...an exercise in which, logically enough, depended on "imaginary numbers" which, when squared, result in negative numbers...which came from a time when such abstract numbers were poorly understood, considered as "fictious...fake!"

Just thought, prior to yet another spending spree…

Might be able to drum up, even the slightest amount, of interest…

(Note to self: ” Gonna' need a bigger, louder drummer, boy”)
