Tattered and torn…or is it torn and tattered…

Torn about tattered, does it matter? OK so it’s technically in the industry called getting “all tatted up…and down” 

Adorning or scorning? 

Gauging or gouging? Starts with ears, ends in tears…"I'll bite your ear off...I'll hit you where it counts...!"

Might leave you scrounging…four dollars and cents 

Growing old- As in "Two old bruisers...struggling to even get into the ring..." One would think that upon arriving at the age of majority they would have incurred sufficient scars - physical and otherwise- not needing to self inflict…By the looks of it…

Sports and now, all sorts of celebrities…boxers and those who go out sporting Speedo briefs...otherwise covered with what passes these daze as an art form...

Heimmler Maneuver- one of the “Architects of Terror” that included the tattooing of millions without consent…marking hundreds of thousands for certain destinations unknown nor even imagined in the darkest of nights…

Fright Night 2024: “The rising number of studios and spas offering body piercing services drives the global demand for body art…and corresponding increase in parlor’s adoption  of laser treatment for effective removal…” The latter due in no small measure to “rising prevalence of skin reactions, allergies, even inflammation of the tumor variety…” 

It’s as if it’s infectious, according to the repeating self-offenders…while the last survivors of the Holocaust bear witness by rolling up their sleeve, re-exposing one of the worst offenses ever committed. 

So goes the tracing of the rise and fall -- of a civil-ization...

Calling for a new “Enlightenment” (which last visited Europe 1685–1815) - have we really lost our capacity for “reason”???
