"Let's get Physique-all!"π
"Yeah, let's..." π A kind of understated statement of enthusiasm in response to, or in trying to keep up with, the trainer or other "motivational coach" you paid to at least get you off, to a strong start...even after you viewed the earlier video, of Olivia Newton John, scantily clad, next to a lad, even more so...
"False start!" How would you like to have your number called, as the one who, after thousands of coming to what's in American Futbol termed the "line of scrimmage", one that moves from paly to play, throughout the game, one that to the viewing audience is shown quite clearly, clear across the field, but not so easy peasy, when you have someone of equal size and strength lined up across from you, using what’s termed in all competitions as “every trick, in the (play) book” to get you to simply move prematurely or otherwise pull you “offsides !” Which, regardless of whether you are generally aligned with the offense or defense, if you get drawn into the other’s zone prior to a play being called, your coach will find offensive…”park your blankety blank, over there…” (Now I get the “park bench” reference)…
Benched: Where you can think "long and hard" and probably in good company, if TV coverage is any indication, of the massive depression, that was left, after we got invited, called back in...
Bench strength: While generically referencing what we, our team, business or otherwise, have left in what's also fondly referred to as the "stable", in our home town's case, you'd have to be a real heavy lifter to provide what in even more general psych-up lingo (us Performance psychologists and trainers the world over speak about this motivational early and often, when trying to get you up, out, and staying with your goals)...an "uplift" -- given how big these bruisers, who themselves sit weighting down the bench, the ones still lingering on the "injured reserve" list...If you're going to accomplish such a Herculean heavy lift, you have to come looking the part, right?
Dress, to Im-press: It's what the athletic apparel industry, whose top-to-bottom coverage, im-plies will happen..."looking good...feeling good...come out and play...!" (AKA "Just do it!") And, of course, seen more across sporting domains, otherwise arena, all kinds of venues, don't forget to "bring the bling" It's as if the amount you spend on what adorns you, will provide you with the inspiration, before even an ounce of perspiration...
Transform-ational: What may actually happen, after thousands of repetitions, of bench press, or whatever is in store for you, when you go and meet your Trainor -- even pros have them -- "you're almost there...!" (so they say, over and over, and...) Only thing left...the one thing holding me back, from getting me psyched up, keeping me on track..."All about that bass!" to get the blood coursing, through your veins...
Play-list: It has to be what gets even those "pro bowlers" to the stadium, years after they've been training, waiting for this moment...watch to see what they're listening to, as most walk in with the latest ear buds, "noise cancelling" headphones (tunes out the press, gets them dialed in)...If it's good enuff for them, then perhaps it will provide me...get me up, out, get past my initial resistance, to what my trainer and psychologist call the "sustainable drive state..."
Can't weight, to...start "Levitating"πΆ It's as if I'm doing this, all on my own. (A trainer's worst fear)
