Is it just, me? That when I heard about the emergence of some new prosthetic devices, that allow an individual to fully function again...many of which lost their appendages due to land mines and other implements, arm-aments, during one of the many modern warfare actions around the globe, that I could not help but wonder what other force might be at play here...and how the so-called balance sheet of one, might what both accountants and war analysts refer to as "bleed into the other..." 

Less artificially: "Minerals and their rites" - the next casual observance, of another casualty.
