The state of the state of our minds, on bill-boreds.

The fix is...having recently returned to our "home, state" we could not help but notice...in some contrast to the ones in other states (four consecutive ones on the same "I" highway) it was a bit rough going (coming home, more accurately) the first few miles as well as entering/exiting our otherwise nicely appointed "Well, Come" center, that what was our outgoing governor's first priority, was a bit under...whelming. As in rough pavement (our car noticed it first)...

Speaking of Priorities...time and time again, as in having two out of three senses come alive, after a sustained calm...inundated by billboards featuring three prominent themes, which collectively, we agreed, managed to...

Litter the Land-scape…a visual mis-add-venture, that we did not miss in the slightest ("out of sight..." line) - perhaps a cause Celebre for bringing back the "no littering" ones...

Themes, memes...screams! At least spoken loudly, to each other..."Yuk...can you smell that smell, that smells like skunk", that we had not had the(dis)pleasure of, while traveling through what seemed to be a foreign land ("conspicuous by their absence" is the saying that comes to mind)...

Pot, Luck, Struck (by a truck?) The three words, that sum up the images and messages conveyed -- the fact that out state legalized cannabis, has gambling available at every outlet imaginable, and lawyers galore, waiting outside your door...

Talk about distracted driving…Ironic that we, in our state, as well as many others (24 in total, a fact I looked up, while not, looking down) have laws against distracted driving, "hands free" becoming the trend. Now, if only we can pass a "lands free" law to get rid of the distractions outside our vehicles...

Made up my mind...that if these signs reflect the state of our mind, it's no wonder our state has fallen, behind.
