Bi-directional: Whether you're more of a 'top-down' thinker (ironically, starts with placing the "root" of the problem at the top, of the tree😔)  or like to come at this perplexing problem 'side-ways'  - which came to be associated with fishing, with William E. Deming, who headed west to go to the far east with his lures😕 - one needs a system, especially if you are pressured by time or other precious resources ("STAT!") , for ruling in, out, based on the data you have at hand, to at least manage, if not solve (i.e., get down to the "root" in the first case, "causative" factors, in the latter example) -- two systems that have together become associated with, sort of got gobbled up 🐟by “algorithms” that have in turn become absorbed by all the AI discussions. Speaking of all-absorbing...

EMR: A term of engagement that, at least in its early stages, had the "Is there a doctor in the...room?" looking down, at their lap, top of one device or another...in order to put in the input (pre-occupied by Electronic Medical Record keeping) which, while now supplemented by Chatbots, who might do some of the dirty work of translating..."CPT...ICD-10...HCPC..." into the PC...all based on what modern medical students and computer science geeks continue to seek a solution for...
