Slackers, hackers, and scratchers...

"Let it out...give me some..." Slack, of course, allowing me a degree of flexibility...

"Take it in..."  As in "...pulling the tail end with one, while grabbing the other end near the belay device, with the other..." Too much of one, not enough of the other, could end up a rough landing...Speaking of devices and their delays...

"Hand it over..." The ransom, and its ware, where the latter results in less data lost...as well as lost time, down to your last dime ("I don't negotiate with hackers!")...and in schools..."no phone zone"

"Scratch!" In sports, is also known as a "no-show" whereas in the new era of funding our schools...has us calling on fools, to buy scratch-offs, and other lottery tickets...5$ giving you 36.36 chance of winning, while 20$ gets you up (I mean down) to 22.26, with approximately 28% of the profits going to the "School Aid Fund" the size of which has increased over the years, while student achievement has...slacked a bit. Leaving me scratching my head and the feds preferring to start over again, from scratch.

Back to school... and its many object lessons, that returning students may find objectionable, and taxpayers of questionable value.
