Wearing the leftovers - a barrel roll. 

Orange is the new green. With a few layers in between. As in "Orange you glad you stand out, as opposed to wearing Cammy Jammie’s the rest of the year?" This, in an attempt to not be mistaken...

Bucking, a trend. It's what all the buck poles show, the ones with the big bucks, as well as the studies on how much is being spent per hunter to shoot one, many of which were 'bagged' by a blind man....well, more like a man (increasingly women) standing (more likely sitting in the 'lap of luxury') in a 'blind' that is aptly named, given how many blind spots there are for the unsuspecting...

Deer polling. Not likely, as to whether they prefer the bow and arrow or what's called the opening day of "firearms" when the whole forest seems to scream "Fire away!" Whether they’d rather be shot in the arm or what, in deer hunting season, termed “hind quarters” If they could talk I’d hazard a guess they’d opt out, as in the ever popular “f” it - “none of the above” - can’t blame them for being a bit shot hesitant…

Don't point. The implied rule we witnessed when visiting our first buck pole on opening day last year. In contrast to what one would expect, one was left guessing whose buck belonged to who, as to the ones with the most points, a system that consistent of six major pointers (or "steps" if you prefer) itself. And what about the different points, of view…

“Should have scene, herd this coming…” From the backers of bucks…given the foreshadowing…starting with the signs on the orange barrels “no braking, gone hunting” to all those exercising their second amendment rights by hauling those weirdly named ATV’s such as “gators” and “mules” - do they think us dumb, asses...sure as hell will need them to haul ours out (the dreaded "deer pull") as most appear as if they haven't...exercised the rest of the year. And that’s not even considering those silly calls that they shelled out for, in an attempt to imitate us, antlers and all...

Speaking of calls… on behalf of the DNR, buckshot, and all the other parts of the hunter eco-system - what’s with this younger gen, haven’t they heard the call, of the hunter, who get called out to “cull” the herd on behalf of the farmers…whose crops have gotten a bite ‘cropped’…

The strongest call of all… and the reason for the season getting quieter every year…”Don’t shoot, I’m just the messenger…time to take off the VR headset, put down the orange barreled Nerf gun, and come down to dinner…dear.” Why yet another sector of our economy has gone from BOOM! to...rust.
