What a dump! Some new data has come to light (the dark side)
Dumpster fire... for starters...to get you/me energized, there's the discovery that the biggest electric producer produced some checks for some elected officials, on both sides of the aisle. Both of which, according to locals, looked a bit more "radiant" than usual...casting some light and suspicion on why and whose backyards these data centers might get centered. Which has become the center, of controversy. And the focus of several town halls, where the officials thought they were making a simple plug, but the audience had come already electrified, which ended up, in what the commuters, and now computer, call "grid lock" -- a power surge of its own, that is at least causing a brown-out, a temporary stall -- a cooling off period for what the local residents fear will heat up, what the general audience calls "ambience" -- given the amount of heat these data machines throw off -- along with their water rates -- that is, the rate of volume of water they consume to stay cool. Leading us all back to the inevitable place we should all start, in order to not have a land fill in our own back yard ("NIMBY!"), now shifting to a new center, of controversy -- a good place to start, the new "man-in-the mirror" is to realize, the call for a new slogan...
A new POGO sticker... As depicted in cartoonist cum political satirist Walt Kelly's depiction, in the early 70's that brought our attention, during the rising tide of complaints about several types of pollution: "We have met the enemy and he is us". Accompanied by a colorful illustration, of course. A good illustration of where the current controversy begins and ends (talking about a complete circuit here) -- is an "honest to golly" admission for the increase in transmission and thus, eventual emission -- is the extent to which we all, are putting an increase in demand....for data (talking data analysis now). Might want to begin by purging some, yourself by cleaning your own…computer. Puts the power, back in your hands, as the energy company ad says.
