Special moments that call for special forces…

Give ‘em a swift kick"  In order to launch them, otherwise provide an up-lift off the bench, given the amount of time they’ve been… sitting idle. While there is no I in Team there’s certainly a T, which is the whole (extra) point in the matter. As in “T it up…on the T, and if the wind keeps blowing it off, have a team member give you the finger” Now, you get the point, why it's called the 'pointing' finger...? 

Special T's- as well as jerseys, depending on the field conditions, at the time they are called in. The sweat absorption types when kickers, while maintaining a cool countenance are “sweating bullets” and, on the other hand, when the other team calls a time out to “freeze” the kicker….Punters are pretty much indifferent (“what’s the point?”)  to the changing conditions. The other special tease include the most common “just step back, let us handle this, wouldn’t want you to get your hands dirty..," And the comeback kidder - "yeah well, might I point to the scoreboard and who’s responsible for most of the points today…” And here’s yet quite another kicker…

Newest oddit-T…an even more specialized case of this specialty…from the land down under…no wonder, then, that the newest world imports into the collegiate, then on to National Football League an influx of Australian punters -- who first practice their specialty, in kangaroo courts 😳.

Want to know the real kicker?! While a special teams player in the name of Desmond Howard (a local favorite despite packing up, becoming one…Packer) was known as a two way specialist, managed to snag an MVP in XXXI, covering the entire field  (well, close enough at 99 yards) - - and despite of the record breaking - count them - FIVE field goals (throw in a few extra points, to boot), in the bowl just passed, (how did they manage to pass up Jason Myers?) still can’t find ourselves in the MVP column. Guess it’s our destined place, in history - place kickers, for sure. As it sure feels like a kick in the...
