History in the making

"They said it couldn't be done..." A typical introduction readying you for something in the making, such as breaking a record, rather than one that just sounds like a broken one. An actual speech from an actual King (formerly known as "Prince"😎) - which managed to bring not only both parties, but two houses of Congress, to their feet. Which managed to reach not only across the aisle but the entire expanse of what we fondly call "the pond" and address our differences (that he blithely referred to as "language barriers", a subtle reference to how our leader "obliterates" the Queen's English in understated Brit humor) and our common ground that, while we, here claimed our independence (the cause for the biggest round, of applause), almost 250 years ago, we "share an unbreakable bond of heritage and history" (the latter remark made a bit later, at the steak (?) dinner). Spanning many significant landmarks and moments in our respective and joint histories, all in the span of just under 29 minutes. May we take this as a history lesson.
