Fore Fathers, and Daughters of...

Anyone in ear's shot...  after 250 years of shooting fireworks, tooting our own horns, easy to understand so many getting tired of same old same old. BUT, for those willing to take out their ear buds, just for a minute, to hear the distant echo, of the minutemen...

Catalyst-it... The initiation of what we see all around the world today, (so many hostilities to choose from) but especially the ones that arose between an established, old world nation and one whose birth gave way to what we are still experiencing today, as growing pains, as in the growing number of reasons to engage, in what we call acts of defiance (protests even), but what they, back 250+ came to be known as some of the original...belligerents. While having a negative connotation, can even be found along with the word "brave"  in the very same sentence, as in an adult spelling test, that we, as educational psychologists in training learned, was a counter-intuitive "The soldier was belligerent and brave" AKA "unyielding" -- one that wouldn't leave their post for nothing! One you and I both would want in our foxhole, as a co-conspirator, for example... 

"The shot heard around the world" while initially associated with the Lexington village green, followed by the North Bridge in Concord, eventually also became to be associated with one that ignited a series of events early in WWI, and then one that ended a pennant winning series, as recent as 1951. And even more recently experienced here and there with shooting mouths off (a first amendment rite), or, even inadvertently, in an American about face, shooting ourselves in the collective foot. An action has been called into question, as if our forefathers had orchestrated it, by many foreign invaders here for the World Cup. As in "Why are so many Americans down on themselves, with all the cereal choices and air conditioning...a pretty cool country...maybe a return visit" It's as if so many of U.S. will only celebrate and sing "May God shed..." under certain conditions, that favor them - - can you imagine if the early Revolutionists had stopped, to weigh the odds…such as after the first encounter resulted in eight of us dead, one of them only wounded. Thank goodness they didn't ponder too long. ("do the math, this isn't sustainable!")  May God grant us just one favor…of giving it another shot, as in another 250, which would add up to a nice, round number🙏
