The prominence of promenade (proper name) promos
"The bigger the build-up..." yet another lesson, just in case they didn't get in Physics...about the gravity of getting too excited, due in part to the banners being flown...overhead by the fly buys..."Will you go with me...?" The newest featured just outside...the space station. Had to have planned this prior to...entering freshman year. Taking nothing for granted...leaving the name spaced out, as in blank. We're talking about a Safe Space, that is only one of 250 (just a co-incidence) of the Prom theme nights (up-date on Great Gatsby and the like) that give us a glimpse into the inner workings of the party planners. That, given the elaborate set ups, must have started planning when their future prom goers entered...pre-school.
Roll out, reversals... as in the neighbors Kravitzing is the new term... setting up lawn chairs, BBQ grills, and all the other regalia that go with such specialized tailgates (including "my son for prom king" t-shirts), just to get a glimpse of the flow of limos and their well-dressed drivers…just prior to the arrival of the well-coiffed couples…the curls that cost you a pretty penny (when they were still made) and the dudes with their stubbles… (which require a specialized shave kit, another built in cost).
What's wrong... with this picture? As in the younger crowd crowding around the photo booth - - “John, look what our parents are posting on FB… look at those gummies pouring out of the piñata…and isn’t that your dad jostling for position with mine, at the punch bowl, under the banner that spells out Just Deserts… and OMG, it’s Susie’s parents wrapped up with Bobby's, looking like pretzels on the multi-colored mat that reads Twister…what the hell…leading to the inevitable - - “Told you we shouldn’t leave them alone too long…step on it driver, if you expect to get a good review on Uber…this is an emergency!”
For promo use only: If coaxing them, after a case of the ‘guilts’ don’t work, you can always revert to creating at least the illusion you’re having fun…the old reliable FOMO to get them to come back home…we are living in the age of FakeBook, after all...
