On the crest of a wave...

Is how I felt... when, just after posting about the You tubers, about 24 hours past, and about a week after breaking ice (figuratively), I came upon, was (literally) welcomed aboard...

"Whatever floats your boat" was one of many meta-fours that I reflected on, by lending a hand (by simply staying out of the way) in collecting mail from a passing ship, while aboard the J.W. Westcott II) which still stands as having the only floating zip code....

"Row, row, row..." while he may not have been the original author of this tune, he ("J.W." to his friends, which grew in number, every time) must have sung it while approaching the tall ships (as far back as 1874), to deliver the mail, prior to...

"Motorboat, motorboat..." a pool game we used to play, which included varying speeds. And, occasionally, like I experienced yesterday, a back-and-forth motion, during five consecutive approaches, it took, for the deck hand, to finally "hand over" the rail...I mean mail....

"Ship to shore" was one more watered down analogy, that just naturally flowed...

Multi-purposed as in a more serious note, but a lucky co-incidence with my post recent post, which was not so much about a floating post office, but going to great lengths to keeping others afloat...this vessel not only delivers mail, but boat pilots was well and, as recent as two days ago, also plucked a few struggling operators of a sinking jet ski, from these boundary waters. Talking about being boundless...

Don't be surprised... if, on October 23, you hear some bells, signaling the service of the captain and crew member, which gave their lives, 25 years ago, when the J.W. Westcott sunk, and took the captain and crew member to their watery graves. After which the boat was salvaged, refurbished, and eventually put back into service. A fitting tribute to the J.W. Wescott, II, in service to the U.S. Postal Service - zip code 48222. 🫡
