After a thorough review of the "original studies" (which meant getting hold of them, pay to get them copied, before printers were abundant), a few of which were responsible for me launching this search (and destroy mission, as in attempting to refute their findings, a strong sustaining force for many of us). Which prompted me to start on my required doctoral dissertation -- required, that is, if I did not want to become an "ABD" (a semi-official status which designates someone who went all the way through years of course...

Re-search (and destroy?) "Give it Up": An Air of Doctrin-aire "...the search is complete...the search is complete...the search is complete, how many times do I...?!"   In Part, X 3: Bearing (false?) witness, to... Question-able, findings (comma intended, for effect):   "...but how do you explain yet another discovery of so-called classified documents, that were supposed to be protected, after (he) swore to uphold the Constitution...so casually stored these secret papers, in and around his home, some situated next to a shredder...discovered after a long, arduous search, for such docs that could potentially make US vulnerable to undue influence, and even foreign powers...do these papers and their location give us a hint as to his/their intentions...and is this now part of a cover-up, an attempt to obfuscate the truth, after such exposure...?" These and other questions that have been asked (a few inserted by me as ones that should have been, since they suppos...

Re-research: "back to basics" Part 2: Re-Iteration "The (re)search is over..." "...how many times and ways do I have to tell you this...that this question has actually already been asked and answered by another member of your so-called corps here...how many times do I have to stand up here and explain myself and defend my boss...that I'm not going to answer any more such (dumb) questions...?!" Well, you may have not actually heard these exact words uttered in this exact sequence...they may have been a bit...out-of-order, and not such an explicit demonstration of being defensive, but sure were represented as a tacit or otherwise tactical approach to doing what the "Greatest of all time" became known for, as in "rope-a-dope" -- the former Cassius Clay-cum-Muhammad Ali perfected as both a science and an art. Search, Re-Search...surging   Part 1: What started US on this search. "What's up Doc?" Singularly speaking, as in "a remarkable, noticeable way" but here, applied to a greeting that might start a conversation in my office, zoom room, which has for me a different impact, than what they may have started, instigated our relationship (e.g., "this is my last-ditch effort, an act of desperation, nothing personal, Dr.....") More formal-ized and a bit dread-full, I would say. But now, well into our collective "search" has unearthed some initial difficult truths, followed by the so-called "bitter pill" re-garding certain "truths" gave way to ending up a at least a better "mind-set" regarding earlier events. Which has brought US to this place, enabling them to greet me with a bit 'breezier' "What's up?" A Whole different meaning and app, of course, than what we are hearing about, witnessing, at least ...

Re: Exchange of words; word exchangers: Thesaur-us Coinciding, on occasion: On the occasion that I would be posting about a highly accomplished man, one who not only had "Dr." in front of his name due to his earlier occupation, but then his on-going post-op, pre-occupation -- with thousands of words, word combinations, phrases, topics...all things that "Matter" (one of the VI classes of concepts)...a day that was actually belated, but hopefully still well-received, a day that would also be the occasion of celebrating (once again, coincidentally) one of our favorites that shares his bday with Dr. Roget, and who himself has managed to conjure up many new word usages, images...So, this for me became what we now frequently refer to as... A Two-fer: A day of celebrating two fine fellows, and in the case of Dr. R, a reference to a reference book that not only contained thousands of words, substitutions, combinations, but also managed to be topical in nature, as in a class...

Be-lated-Me: A mash-up of words, acknowledgment, convey-ances, regarding my belated "Best wishes", "Job(s) well done!" and "Much appreciated", on this very day, three days after, the day set aside by Word-Smiths, to acknowledge the life, times, re-wording of Peter Mark Roget, one which included many roles, hats...the making and carrying around, until he finally got around to, making lists of lists...words that resembled, when once assembled, in certain way (see below) could provide you and me, word substitutes (as in "when another word will due") about a century and a half on now...and many decades for me after I be-friended him, way-y-y-y B4 FB make provision for asking to be, as in "friended" - - a word that took on a whole new meaning well after he could have conceived it...which became, for me, a matter of great urgency, pre-occupation, when my HS English tea...

Kinda' picking up where I left off (see January 17th) re:garding options for directing your mind, thoughts, especially when you are trying to "self-calm". If you're gonna' fill your mind, in order to have a good menu of options, plenty of fare, for such occasions, you may want to be selective, including this time of year when thinking of tuning into shows that re-view other shows, the so-called "critics choice" ads infinitum, the ones that are "brought to you by" sponsors that have themselves counted on you, as in ratings, to tune in, such as early in the "Super Bowl" -- to see the newest and best commercials, perhaps incentivized by having purchased some "squares" (which include, like all the other awards shows, an ever-increasing number of categories to bet on...like "when the fir...

"It's unreeling, un-real! "It's Showtime!"   "Lights (out), camera (off), action on!" A slight modification on reality, on what happens in the actual theatres, the experience of what are termed "theatre go-ers...ticket holders, paying public", and, in my days working as a theatre ticket taker, a few who snuck in the exits... The transition from reality, what has transpired throughout the busy-ness of your day (or night shift) and what begins, most often when one attempts to "go off to slumber...get a few winks...catch some zzz's..." When you finally try to un-wind which, all-too-often, finds you going in a different direction, as in "reeling" and instead of a nice, gradual unwinding, "settling down to sleep" you may find yourself feeling completely, "unwound😞" While Hollywood distorts reality on our behalf, to the degree we may walk away with exclamations of "Unbelievable, they managed to outdo...

The ones that are now selected for you, me, 'digitally', almost instantaneously, by an AI consultant, as in "things, features, movies, books, (we) thought you might enjoy" based on your viewing, buying, habits...😉😟😃 Which started showing up for me, additionally, in the form of a "first chapter of the next book, due out..." of an author whose works I grew fond of, left me wanting more (that's the point, I imagine...) -- it's kinda' like when, you are compressed by time and space, in a "mad dash" to catch a flight, you have just enough time to "grab-n-go!" from a so-called friendly, convenience store, whi...

Re: En-counters: woes, throes... "Whoa, be gone!" - Coming to a theatre really close to you - a trailer. Re-enclosed encounters: You've heard, perhaps, no matter gen you are now part of, of which itself you had little say in (fore-shadowing, but not a spoiler), a HUGE turning point in the film, life cycle of a director who is now back in the spotlight, now a household name for all generations, Steven Spielberg. Largely responsible for the 1977 film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" which depicted what happens to an "everyday blue-collar worker" (nice midwestern boy, an "everyday Joe" in my world, but actually given the name "Roy" in the movie, Richard Dreyfuss for real) encounters the unexpected, unwelcoming phenomenon...sets him on his heels, his whole life reeling and, in the end...well, I'm not going to play the spoiler here for recent gens and youngsters who may have not yet encountered it, taken the time to stick around...

Re-routing, outing U-turn: space, time...from a distance, "back at ya!" It's all relatively, speaking: The special relationships you've cultivated, through time and effort, the ones you hold "near and dear" who may, still in their day and time, find themselves on your Christmas card list, who may actually find a handwritten note, in addition to those nauseating enclosures everyone, the ones from the more general, acquaintances list also received, and likely just put aside, to be read at a later date..."when I can get myself in the right mood, frame of mind, to read about Great Aunt Hilda's procedure and Tommy's latest exploits..." And some, who, once upon a time, are not so much, anymore ("we use to be close but...maybe we actually weren't, to begin with...😕??) When I think of it, in my own ever-expanding universe of thought (as in coming up with new ideas for this post...new appreciation for daily columnists and even cartoonists)...

Re-turn to Re: Intro, De-ductions, regarding OUR Timed, Spaced...Out! Timed, Out: By now, regard-less of what time of day, month, even so early in the "brand spanking new" year (see January 1st for explanation, implications)...especially in the context of goal setting or, more apropos to the "field of play" (as in football field), where the team of interest was attempting to literally move the ball, aka "pigskin"😕 uni-directionally, which sometimes meant going more in a zig-zag rather than more of a 'straightforward' approach to their deduced game plan...As re-flected by the announcer: "apparently, they've decided...I don't get it but someone up in the press box must be seeing something that they can capitalize on"...signaling into the headset of the coach on the sideline who in turn has a 'signaler' who hand gestures so as to not 'telegraph' it to the other team, which could in a few ways get "intercepted!...

Re: Intro, Re, Deduct-ions: Speaking of... "In, Out so many words": Prior to, as prolonging a prologue, or what U may consider "the inevitable", as in me keeping U longer than necessary, which both of us thought on occasion when we were formally "schooled"...which, of course, included a course in word usage. A growing appreciation as we were first intro-duced to the singular words, their various usages, and then how they combined to make complete thoughts, sentences which were, in turn, punctuated with signs, symbols. Which were then linked together to form paragraphs, after which were allowed to "paraphrase", abbreviate, re-state an "original author" or source. When nicely put together -- words, phrases, paragraphs, quotes and references, were put together in the form of "papers" 😕 which got handed in, or "over" if we were caught cheating...copying...plagiarizing!😓😟 -- "but I thought that imitation, copying ...

Re:Introduce U 2: "It's about Time (and Spaced) Out!" Part 1- Intro: the Pre-lude, Pro-logue Pre-occupation: As if U need any intro to these 2 -- dimensions, that is. Why, I have probably been guilty of having overly-familiarized U to these, re-flected in part by the time and space I have a-lotted in this (blog) spot, that I have put yours to the test -- patience, that is. That is, well before the most recent Space X launch -- which, by the way actually took place just hours prior to me posting this, in the form of a "low-orbit satellite", count-downs for which are being so commonplace that we, most of US at least, occupy ourselves with other matters, concerns about what pre-occupies us, Such as the ones that we attempted to leave behind when we began the annual big count-down, of the waning moments of the year last, prep for the road ahead..."purge!"..."turn the page...a new leaf" Get out yet another new calendar, whether U are the kind that...

Re: Introductions: "Can't YOU Just drop it, already?!"   What's Old, is... Well, sometimes it's just plain old, never making it out of our closet, as in "never in style" whereas some things we re-discover, while cleaning out our closets, to make room for the new we may have re-cently re-ceived as gifts or, if Santa didn't complete our list, we found it even cheaper on "boxing day". In either case, a common occurrence, especially this time of year, as we go from old to new...As in an update, re-introduction to a quote oft overheard in our house, whenever me and a sib were dead-locked in an argument, when I (born under the sign of Taurus) would just not "give it up!" Resonance of which has re-surfaced when I think only of my own point of view, re-flecting, de-flecting perhaps, a lack of humility, even if situationally... Re: Introductions - "It's about time...Oh, I thought you already new..." Inevitable...Unenviable: Yup, inevitable that, round about midnight, from here to there (as in way east of us, as in New Zealand where it is, at this posting almost already midnight...."out time"), that we would, around the world, some ceremoniously, others hardly noticing, as in dozing off...ring, bring in a New Year! Depending, of course, on one's point of view, your experiences throughout the past one, you either want to hang on, "freeze frame", or wish it "good riddance...this year could not go/come quick enough..."
